Health is an essential commodity of life, if you have health then you can live to fight another day. Unfortunately it is not many who can afford good and quality healthcare. It is for this reason why the prevalence of some conditions which demand financial support to get well keeps soaring. Effective drugs that can do better for patients tend to be more expensive and when they are not able to get these things tend to get worse.

Over the years @bettervision has done it very best to support people in deprive areas, communities and geographical locations who do not have access to healthcare facilities and others who may have had but still couldn't seek the necessary medical attention due to financial constraints. Many have benefited in terms of improve vision and visual care through free medication, spectacles distribution and better referral systems.

But that's not the end, we have bigger dreams, we have higher aspirations that we hope to get done one day through the blockchain. It is our dream to one day have the steem powered health facility where not only steemians but members of the community can seek quality healthcare at very very affordable rates. Patients with steem accounts would have access to the steem insurance scheme that would be rolled and will also be able to pay for their healthcare in variety of steem related ways.

We remain relentless in our mission to help save sights and make light better. We will continue to promote steem on every healthcare outreach program we embark on and we hope many will soon join the blockchain and benefit from the many future plans that could be rolled out. This is saving lives in many ways that people may not know and it is high time many came to know and learn and made the effort to help out.
