We live in a world full of pain and suffering but we turn a blind eye each and every day.

There are people living through war and famine everyday.
Women and children are being raped, men are being slaughtered like pigs and family's are being torn apart.

People are living on the streets barely able to eat, sleeping through the elements and suffering day in day out and yet we barely seem to notice. we walk past them like they're nothing more than a pile of rags.

We care about what we see on the news but not whats in front of our eyes.
We care about the atrocities we're told about but we dont look and see the horror that is happening in other parts of the world.

We're all human and yet we treat each other like we're diseases.

What makes us better than animals? We are merely beasts in a different form, pretending to take the moral highground before we look in the mirror and see the horror that we truly are.

War is everywhere, hatred is spreading, we cant even discuss our differing opinions without resulting to slanderous insults.

I don't expect to live in a world without pain but i expect to live in a world where the pain isn't inflicted purposefully.
We pretend to be compassionate but true compassion is few and far between.


If we want to live in a better world that responsibility starts with **you** and **me**
Only we can fix the problems on this planet and if we don't do it soon then we face an irreversible situation, one we will never get out of.

Is cruelty human nature, is it a by-product of greed?

Can we fix the world? probably not. But we can make it a little bit better by being a little bit better ourselves.
