I believe we see on and off such personality as Buddy in our life, the easiest is just ignore them, sometimes you think they also want to be invisible. The way of your writing is so easy to read and it makes you keep reading because you are interested in what is going to happen. The description of such a guy like Buddy, caught my attention probably many of us sometimes think why they are so and if there is anything we can help with. You made it really intriguing ending with the fact that Buddy had an idea of doing somewhere, especially having that accident in the morning, I was wondering if he was planning to go to hospital, but probably not as he seems never was interested in his health. Thank you for the story :)

It's amazing how you keep writing and writing. I wonder how many parts will this series have :) Buddy doesn't seem to be a guy, one would generally like to hang with, but such people are troubled and deserve a chance before judging them (just my opinion). I'm excited to see how this story will develop and I've noticed that you posted part 14 already, so I'm going to have a look now. The manager didn't know Buddy had drinking problems? Hmmm, sad it ended badly for Buddy though, wonder what he is up to now... 

Maybe Buddy just needs the right kind of friends, or he hasn't realized he needs help yet. I believe the tennis guy (whats his name again?) Can help him, maybe?

I haven't read the previous parts but this can somehow stand on its own, I will love to read the others though.
