A lot of users report Equifax having malware directly on its site. The malware is called Adware.Eorezo. When the user visits Equifax site, he gets a fake pop-up that prompts for a Flash update. When the user clicks the prompt, the malware downloads itself to the user's machine. Other users report having re-directs to other malicious websites from Equifax official site. 
The reason for this is yet unclear, the malware can lye dormant within the system, or it is a case of Equifax not purging bad ads. 
Be aware when visiting the Equifax site!
