I write this today as a way to voice my own opinion and hopefully it resonates with some of you as well. In all cases I always respect peoples opinions and their own views and I welcome constructive feedback and debate. What I don't encourage or engage with is flat out rants the contribute nothing.
With that said let's dive in...
My views on Free Speech or just being scum. The last few weeks we have seen tech giants ban accounts of world leaders. This honestly isn't new it happens all the time but in this case it was our own president.
Do I believe it should have been done?
No
Do I believe they should have acted on what happened?
Yes
I firmly believe in Free Speech, it's what made this country great the issue now is we are so divided as a country and everyone is just out to cause harm to each other instead of actually doing something positive and productive.
Seriously though you have the power in your hands EVERY DAY! Every time you wake up you have the ability to make a decision about what you will do and how you will treat others that day.
You have control on how you interact with people, how you treat people and what you do with your time. One of the biggest life changing moments for me a few years ago is when I stopped arguing with people and instead started to have intelligent debates with people. To be able to see and understand others views is extremely important. Just like you feel that persons view points are not right and you're always right I hate to tell you this you're human and you get a lot of shit wrong. It's just part of being human!
The second biggest life changing moment for me was when I decided to start giving back and helping others. I can't even begin to tell you how much further I'd be in life if someone had just had my back and encouraged me instead of stomping me down or telling me what I was doing was stupid and a waste of time. While that stomping down was needed it is what built me into the person I am today and what gave me the drive to be successful I still feel a helping hand along the way and some encouragement would have fast tracked me a little better.
It's because of this I now help small businesses, people or someone that might just need a little boost. It makes a big impact not only on their life but you would be seriously surprised at what a huge impact it has on your own.
Pushing back to Free speech and the call to stop using these platforms is fine. I welcome it and I see no reason why another company startup or not could start competing with giants like Facebook and Twitter.
WHAT I DON'T BELIEVE IN
Is when people publish death threats, derogatory remarks and just treat people like trash. Yes you have the right to free speech, but you don't have the right to make others feel like crap and threaten them. There's NO place in the world for that kind of trash and to me that is where the line is draw between Free Speech and someone that's the scum of the earth. I have no time for people like that.
If you really want to make change do the right actions that create change.
Create your own platform people can use
Work your ass off and make money as money is power be it in USD or Crypto. The more you have the more power you honestly have I don't care what anyone says.
Work towards positions of power in which you can start making change. Run for president! That doesn't have to be of the united states it could be as simple as president of your HOA.
These are the things you do to make real change. This constant biting each others heads off, rioting etc only makes your cause look that much dumber and more reason to not care about what you have to say. Like I said intelligent discussions lead to change, treating people like a person and showing respect is what makes change.
What I'm trying to make clear here is there's a right way and a wrong way to go about doing things. Right now we seem focused on all the wrong ways and everyone is over reacting.
