This market is a legacy of the Soviet era, and provides you with a  fantastic snapshot of Russian life and history which spills over with all the local color, sounds and tastes.

We spent a morning here ,browsing, shopping and enjoying some of the local BBQ. The vendors told us that prices for souvenirs in this market were less than half what you would pay in downtown Moscow, and they were right. We picked up some great Russian dolls for a fraction of what I saw them in the city.
