### Greetings brothers and friends.

Throughout history, and when we read the Bible, we can see that God is a jealous God. In many of his books and chapters, we can see how God destroys and sends judgment to those who did not obey him and to those who worshiped other gods.
<br>

### 1 Kings 17:1
>>Now Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe[a] in Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word.”
<br>

Here we can read that God sent a drought (which lasted 3 years). The reason for this drought was the idolatry and rebellion of the people.
<br>

This reading always reminds me of the situation in my country Venezuela. The current government, was bringing his beliefs to this country, and many people followed him, idolatry to false gods has taken over many people, who do their rituals and invoke evil spirits that pollute the airs of my country.
<br>


Witchcraft has gained great ground since socialism arrived in Venezuela, and what it has brought is ruin to the country. But this is something that goes beyond a material or physical ruin. Many things we currently live in Venezuela are a consequence of the spiritual state in which the nation is. They have opened doors to darkness and demons.
<br>

The government does its rituals to perpetuate itself in power and numb people. That is why the population does not react and many still continue to support this government, which has brought destruction to the entire country.
<br>

There comes a time when God sends punishment to nations that do not obey him and worship other gods. Unfortunately the process is strong. In the book of Kings, we can read the condition in which Israel was at that time. Everything they went through in those 3 years of drought that God sent.
<br>

After 3 years, God sends the prophet again and tells him that it will rain.
<br>

### 1 Kings 18:1
>>After a long time, in the third year, the word of the Lord came to Elijah: “Go and present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the land.”
<br>

What I like about this story is that Elijah was always obedient, and announced what God had said, without hesitation at some point.
<br>

### 1 Kings 18:41-44
>>41 And Elijah said to Ahab, “Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain.” 42 So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees.
43 “Go and look toward the sea,” he told his servant. And he went up and looked.
“There is nothing there,” he said.
Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.”
44 The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.”
So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’”

Elijah sent his servant to see the sky, but while his servant went, Elijah prayed. In this we can see that when God gives us a word, the most intelligent thing we can do is pray, prostrate and pray.
<br>

To Venezuela many prophets have come sent by God, and through them, God has promised that our country will be raised again, and we will have a great revival, but he has also said that He wants his people to humble themselves before Him.

Just as Elijah believed the word God gave him, despite there being a drought, we must believe it, we must pray passionately for those promises God has given to our country, pray endlessly again and again, and even if we see nothing , and things seem to get worse, keep praying and believing that God will.
<br>

In the end, after going 7 more times to see the sky, the servant could barely see a small cloud about the size of a man's hand. They could easily think, that cloud will not make it rain, because it was only a small cloud, but they believed the word of God and did not hesitate.
<br>

Let us cry out for Venezuela, pray, let us humble ourselves before God so that we can see that little light in the midst of so much darkness that today surrounds our country.
<br>

### We know that every great work begins with something small, and then that small becomes big! If we all pray together, so that little light appears, soon that little light will glow and shine so bright that it will radiate to all nations.
<br>

### It is the promise God has given us, and we must believe it ... Venezuela will be reborn and its revival will be so great that all nations will speak of that revival. May our faith not diminish. Let's keep praying and believing it!
