<div class="text-justify">In studying David's life, we have learned that he could trust in the Lord at all times, even in times of greatest difficulty and weakness, however, when you most need God, people generally turn away from Him.</div>
<br>

<div class="text-justify">If we examine the Scriptures, we realize that David was not free of fears and weaknesses but in the word we have been able to know his courage, moments of glory, faith, the constant desire to please God and adore him, we can also see his errors, his failures, their commitments, their fears.</div>
<br>

<div class="text-justify">When he learned that three thousand men hired by King Saul were seeking him for the purpose of killing him, despite having received from the Lord the promise that he would become king of Israel, David fled and sought refuge in enemy territory, outside of confines of his nation, because he allowed himself to be assaulted by a fear so great that it prevented him from trusting in God.</div>
<br>

<div class="text-justify">We too, when we are caught in fear, run the risk of behaving like him. Although we know the consequences we face if we make decisions without consulting the Lord, we choose to solve our own problems.</div>
<br>

### 1 Samuel 21: 10-15
>><div class="text-justify">10 And David rose up that day, fled from the presence of Saul, and went to Achish king of Gath.11 And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David, the king of the land? Is not this the one they sang about in the dances, saying: Saul hurt his thousands, and David his ten thousands? 12 And David put these words in his heart, and was greatly afraid of Achish king of Gath.13 And he changed his manner of behaving before them, and pretended to be mad among them, and wrote on the doors of the gates, and let it run the saliva for his beard. 14 And Achish said to his servants, Behold, you see that this man is demented; Why did you bring it to me? 15 Am I not crazy, that you have brought this man to be mad before me? Should I enter this one in my house?</div>
<br>

<div class="text-justify">David believes that in the land of the Philistines he would not be recognized, but it was not so, the servants of Achish king of Gath, he recognized him as the king of Israel, and he was so afraid of dying that he pretended to be mad, because in that place there was the conviction that touching the madmen exposed themselves to the spirit of madness.</div>
<br>

<div class="text-justify">David, the great worshiper of God, who had been anointed king of Israel, in addition to taking refuge in the home of his enemies, for fear of losing his life, pretended to be mad!</div>
<br>

<center>[Source](https://lamenteesmaravillosa.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/ansiedad-principal.jpg)</center>
<br>

<div class="text-justify">In that place he was joined by four hundred people in difficulty who followed him, but his parents also joined him, and he thought it appropriate to ask the king of the Moabites, also enemies of Israel, to welcome them. He obtained what he had requested and they remained in that place while David stopped at Adullam.</div>
<br>

However, in his faithfulness, God did not lose sight of him and sent him to the prophet Gad, to urge him to return to Judah. (1 Psalm 22: 1-5)
<br>

<div class="text-justify">But David did not listen to the prophet and did the opposite. Because with him there were many people who needed a place to live, it was King Akish, from whom he received hospitality for a time, but after having asked for a city to live with his men, he obtained the City of Tsiklag, where he remained for a year and four months.</div>
<br>

<div class="text-justify">Then, if we read carefully 1 Samuel 27: 1-12, we can see that at that time David lived with lies and mistakes. To survive, he assaulted the enemy territories of Achish, in the country of the Gheshuriti, Ghirziti and Amalekiti, and killed all the men and women who lived there not to keep any witness alive, since to please the Philistine king he did not tell Truthfully, he told him that he was assaulting the territory of Judah. In other words, at that moment David forgot the promises of God, he did not listen to the prophet Gad and he lived in lies.</div>
<br>

<div class="text-justify">Where was the faith he had when he killed the bear, the lion, the giant Goliath? Where did the great worshiper of the Lord end? Certainly, due to the persecution in his mind, negative thoughts had infiltrated him that made him doubt God and damaged his trust in him.</div>
<br>

<div class="text-justify">If we compare his life with ours, we find that we have also received so much from the Lord, but even in the moments of greatest difficulty we have not consulted him, we make hasty and erroneous decisions.</div>
<br>

<br>

<div class="text-justify">This negative phase of his life, however, does not hide his figure, but it is true that he did not always live consistently in his faith. What were the consequences? The same ones that we experience when we do not trust in God: we do not receive His blessings, His grace and His favors, whereas when we trust in Him, He answers us, blesses us, gives us healing, uses us to help, save and heal others. By bringing us comfort and refreshment, it gives us victory over negative situations.</div>
<br>

<div class="text-justify">When in our lives, suddenly, something happens that traumatizes us and immerses us in fear, we risk seeing our shipwrecked and we begin to live as someone who does not know God.</div>
<br>

<div class="text-justify">It is in the moments of difficulty where we must cling more to God, but the enemy takes the opportunity, to throw darts at our minds and make us feel alone, without strength, and that is where we make mistakes, mistakes for wanting to resolve the situation with our strength.</div>
<br>

<div class="text-justify">But God tells us that we should leave everything in their hands, it is in those moments where we should trust more in him, adore him more and leave our burdens in him, so that He acts and gives us the victory, that is the best decision in moments of difficulty.</div>
<br>

### Psalm 55:22
>>Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you;
He will not leave the righteous forever fallen.

David was a man with a heart similar to God's, but as a human being he was full of defects and weaknesses and this led him to make many mistakes and bad decisions specifically to turn away from God. That is why when we make decisions without consulting God the consequences are not favorable because man without God is more prone to be a slave to his own decisions
