This is a great quote. So true, but nearly impossible to live by for me.

@bleujay so true! but only the righteous and those who don't suffer from a mini me attack or those without a "victim mentality" can live with it.

I'm resteeming cause it's like a vaccine to the animosity that's going on.  This is why though I want to become a whale someday, I sort a dread the thought of it - it sucks to be a whale. 

 It sucks to be in [smooth]()'s position.  When he turned on the happy hour and rewarded the comments everybody was happy.  Everyone who got their comment rewarded rejoiced like crazy probably jumping up and down.  

Everyone whose post got upvoted by him held their noses high and now he's trying to put balance in the reward system of the post - many are not happy.  

Those whose comments and post that he rewarded whose got flagged for having over rewarded post now have gritting teeth or creating drama as if they have been oppressed. 

They all forgot the rest of the good things that whale has done for them.  They only see the one thing [smooth]() did - the flagging.  

The rest of the good things he did - all forgotten. 

 Are these the kind of people we want to grow in Steemit?  Sorry but there's one word for such - ungrateful. 

 I think we could all learn from [thecryptofiend]() who is such a huge person- that guy represents tenacity, honor and gratitude.  If I could react like he does .... if this would happen to me as well - then I can tell myself - I'm no longer a child but an adult.  

IMHO It is  childish to tattle tale in the community as if you have been oppressed by one Steemian here - grow up and deal with it in the chat - that's one of the reasons the chat has been invented.  

Don't scream you're a victim.  Like you said react the same to both praise and criticism otherwise you're obviously just here for the rewards so you'd cry at the 1st sight of a flag.
