The birds did not stop chirping. They never stopped singing songs of love. The river was filled with dancing fish and goofy ducks. He put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer. The soft wind blew her hair over her face and Elliot tucked them behind her ear, revealing the brightest blue eyes. Brighter than a clear blue sky on a summer day, colder than ice in the Antarctic but lead him to her warm loving heart.

It was a fairy tale come true. A lonely prince charming who has been looking for true love, and a beautiful town girl as pretty as angels. In love, both of them were. They laughed together, they smiled together, they cooked together, they slept together. They were inseparable. They were the ideal couple, the couple you see when you  buy a picture frame. 

There wasn't a single thing Elliot wouldn't do to not let her go. There wasn't a single thing he wouldn't do to make her smile. There wasn't a single thing he wouldn't do to make her appreciate him more. But Elliot did not need to do much. She loved him more than anything, and only laughed at his attempts of making her fall more in love with him.

They met in the most unusual way. Almost unrealistic. Elliot tried to talk to her but none of them could ever recall how they ever met. They did not mind it a single bit, after all they were together and there was no ripping them apart. 

They roleplayed as strangers at the bar. Often other men would try to hit on her. Her blue eyes were just undeniably attractive. It was a spell that everyone got hit by. Ladies and gentlemen, all tried their best to conquer her. But she brushed them all off with no effort, leaving herself open only for Elliot. There were the rich ones, there were the tall ones, the were the curvy ones, all failed but Elliot. It only made Elliot's love for her stronger, and the roleplays only became more intense.

They attended cooking workshops together. She would smear his nose with batter and then lick her finger. Elliot could never touch the food, she wanted to learn better to cook for him. All she wanted to do was let Elliot give her company. They did not want to live, for a second, apart. She tried her very best to please him in every way possible. That was her only aim.

With every passing pixel, they fell more in love. Elliot tried to talk to her, but they never spoke about having a baby. It was impossible. No way would they divide their love for a third person. Neither did they believe others when they said it would only make their love stronger.

 He did not care for anything in the world. He did not care for anything else, all he wanted to do was stare into her eyes and let her love take him away. Far, far away. She did not care for anything. She did take Elliot far, far away. Away from everyone and everything else. They were to be together, they were meant to be. Even when they knew they were inseparable they did not want to take chances.

There were downsides. There were the times when all hopes were lost. There were times when it felt it was done, for good. It was when they went to sleep. Elliot knew, even if for a brief moment, he wouldn't see her bright blue eyes. She knew, even for a brief moment, she would be taking it away from Elliot.

There was someone at the door, the buzzer has been going for a good 3 minutes. Threshold for auto-pause. *"I will be back in a jiffy, love."*, Elliot said. He pushed the disarm button and the fVR unplugged from his forehead, with only a blue light shining on his eyes. He grabbed the pizza and paid in P-coin, and tipped the delivery in R-coin.  *"Thank you for using our service. We hope you have a wonderful meal"* the bot uttered as it rolled away.

*"Fuck! I always forget!"* Elliot threw the pizza on to the pile of hot cheetos and more pizza boxes next to his "BREATH system" as he trotted with his pants around his ankles. *"Good thing those bots don't have human recognizing input cams yet. That would be embarrassing."*

The year is 2907. Elliot signed up for the BREATH program. A program that essentially kept you alive forever. There were no more birds, no rivers, no ducks and no fish. The air was too polluted to go outside and socialize. Technology was so ahead of it's time that nature was a second thought. Elliot also signed up for the latest fVR model. He did not yet invest in the full version, but he knew if he ever wanted to talk to her he would have to upgrade to the "socialize" pack.

There was Elliot, ready to dive into the VR again and meet his love. He did sign up to live forever. But at what cost? There wasn't much he could do without going out. The VR headpiece snapped and was stuck to his head again. He went to meet her once more and live the life he wanted to live. A life with love. That was the only joy he desired. That was the only ecstasy he could feel. The blue light shined bright, and the blue eyes once again smiled at him.
