I had a reality check. It gave me a little peace. I love peace and calm. I absolutely love it. There is always a way to obtain it. Even when you fight, when you are angry, when you have a problem, in every case everything can be done calmly and peacefully. It's hard to understand, but it's possible. Very possible. 

I had a reality check. I didn't want this to make me feel peaceful. I hate feeling good about this. Maybe I should work on myself even more. I found peace in a way that I'm not proud of. I love peace and calm. I hope you find it, too.

I walked down the street in my shorts, T-shirt, and socks with sandals; I felt uneasy. My thumb toe stuck out of the hole in my grey woollen sock and snared at me. It shined brighter than the sun and I felt the whole world could see it. It killed me with every step. I couldn't live with it.

A gentleman in a black, tailored three piece suit, leather monks shoes walked up right next to me. He had a top hat and a shiny watch. His pompous red socks peeked from under his well trimmed trousers and the saturated pineapple prints on the socks glared at me. He must have the best socks. He has everything sorted.

I walked with my head high but really was ducking under the weight of the hole. Many walked past me and the suited man. I wish I was like the others, with no holes in my sock. They looked at me or did they not, I'd never knkw because I never bothered to find out. I was walking, but the only thing movingin my head was the hole in my sock.

We reached a puddle and the man put his hand on my shoulder. We had to remove our footwear to cross it. No one likes a soggy footwear, it rips the stitches apart. I shyly removed my sandals and exposed the hole more vividly. Out came the leather monks and there was a sudden halt, the earth stopped moving.

In the bright red sock, with printed pinapples, there was a hole in the sock. The man in the suit smiled at me as he ripped the hole more open. Everyone around showed their socks. Some had holes in the toes, some in the heels. Every body has them,some hide them better, others don't care. 

Maybe knowing that gave me some peace. But maybe it shouldn't have. I did, however, learn a lesson. And that's all that mattered.
