A Twighlight Walk - My Actifit Report Card: September 11 2019

We went to the YMCA this morning just because it's been so hot.  And also because one of my friends who is in the Silver Sneakers class there at the Y busted me out for not coming lately, lol. Nothing like a little guilt to get you back on track. I would just rather be getting my steps in outside but I'm thankful that we have the nice YMCA in this small town. It reminds me of how things are going to be again when winter gets here again.  I'm so not ready for winter yet!

This evening we waited until later than usual to take another walk to beat the heat.  That worked to some extent, it was a little cooler.  But closer to dark the mosquitos came out.  By the time we got home it was getting pretty dark and were very glad to get in the house where it was cool and bug free!

 I was glad I had pork chops in the crock pot and supper was an easy fix by steaming some fresh broccoli and cauliflower and some wild rice.  And a sweet juicy Cara Cara orange for dessert!

@jayna - the temp wouldn't be quite so bad if it wasn't for the humidity.  I look at my weather app on the phone and it says "Temperature 86 - feels like 95" and if there's no breeze......๐Ÿ˜ฐ

Thank you, Eric.  The twilight walk a little bit different, everything looked a little softer in that hour.  But darn the bugs for attacking us, lol.  Always have to take some bad with the good. Next time we try that - bug braclets on board.

Sorry to hear you still have mosquitoes, ours are finally gone!๐Ÿค—
I tell people in the Northwest first we get gnats/ nasty little flies..... then the mosquitoes join in about June.
Finally when it gets nasty hot the bugs go away!!!

We've had such a wet summer, which contributed to the awful humidity, that are too many low lying boggy areas that continue to allow the mosquitos to breed.  Usually things get pretty dried up by mid-summer but not this year.  Oh well, gotta have some bad, to truly enjoy the good, lol.
And I hate those tiny biting flies - they usually hang out around the river when we go canoeing.
