<center>In a fall that doesn't end and a winter that doesn't start anymore. The best thing I found to do was a visit to the Mogosoaia Palace, a palace and an estate located 15 km from the center of Bucharest, the capital of Romania. More important to me is the fact that from my home there is only 4 km up there. The nearest objective worth visiting.</center>

<center>The Mogosoaia Palace was built in 1702 and belonged to the ruler Constantin Brancoveanu of the Romanian Country. The period of maximum flourishing of the palace was when it belonged to Martha Bibescu. She was friends with many of the personalities who lived between the two world wars, who were guests, such as Marcel Proust or Winston Churchill.</center>

<center>The entire property comprises a huge park, a lake and different buildings adjacent to the palace. Now it's a public place where exhibitions and different shows are organized.</center>

<center>For me it is an excellent place where I can combine a pleasant walk with the admiration of the buildings and the different art objects displayed in the inner courtyard.</center>

<center>Also, in these old buildings there are restaurants and terraces where it is very pleasant to rest in the heat of the summer days. Now, in this winter that doesn't have snow but is not very warm anyway, the terraces are empty.</center>

<center>When outside it is cold and gray, different indoor exhibitions can be chosen for the joy of the eye and the soul. For me it is a great joy when I am in front of a painting, I am a lover of painting.</center>

<center>To my delight, I found an exhibition of painting inside the palace, an exhibition of several important contemporary Romanian painters.</center>

<center>Alas, what a surprise! My favorite painter, Constantin Daradici also exhibits here. I was happy to meet Daradici several years ago. A wonderful man and a true painter. Unfortunately, he died three years ago. I can't believe it's been three years.</center>

<center>During the communist period of the existence of Romania, an enormous number of historical buildings of special value was demolished. Especially churches and monasteries. One of these monasteries was the Vacaresti monastery. When the Vacaresti monastery was demolished, a significant number of artists and architects managed to save parts of the painting on its walls. These pieces painted by the wall are exposed in catacombs.</center>

<center>The exhibition is quite small but very interesting. The hundreds of years old frescoes are unique and it is a wonder they were saved. Thus we have the privilege of seeing them.</center>

<center>I spent a beautiful Sunday at the Mogosoaia Palace. This is a place that should not be bypassed by any tourist who comes to Romania. It is relatively close to the city center and worth all the effort to get there. I have shown very little of everything that can be found there and I want to remain the pleasure of the discovery for each new visitor.</center>
