Here's @negativer explaining the meaning behind his username:

> I've always had a dark streak, even dating well back to high school. When you're a kid, you tend to take things to extreme as you find your path in life, so you want to put your stamp on everything and apply your theme to everything. 

> For me, it was being 'negative'. Around my last year or two in high school, I discovered heavy metal and goth music, and more extreme music beyond that. Hitting the right chord at the right time was Type O Negative, a goth metal band that hit the mainstream right around 1993 with the album Bloody Kisses. I was a huge fan. 

> Moreover, the lead singer's name was Peter Steele, and he was tall, had great hair and a strong face, and at the time I wouldn't have minded 'growing up like him'.

> Their CD sleeves had their catchphrase inside: None More Negative.

> I thought, "What if someone could be more negative? What would they be? They would be...negativer."
