<div class=text-justify>Painting the walls of buildings has long ceased to be the exclusive activity of graffiti artists, many of them true muralists, nowadays “traditional” artists such as the Greek <a href="http://www.vasmou.com/"> <b> Alexandros Vasmoulakis </b> </a> very successfully explore the possibilities of this canvas that takes on a different dimension in his hands, one in which language expands and is enriched by incorporating new elements into a form of expression that from being clandestine, it is now even protected for its artistic value.</div>

<div class=text-justify>Vasmoulakis is an interesting case, since his work is extensive and varied. He feels comfortable both painting and "sculpting", as well as developing conceptual art or installations, and of course he is also painting the city walls, particularly large fences or complete buildings.</div>

<div class=text-justify>His painting nests a lot in the field of the abstract, and he likes to use unconventional materials such as paraffin and crayons, mixed with more traditional resources such as acrylic and oil paints. His work, both pictorial and sculptural, has been exhibited in his native Greece, England, France, the United States, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany and China, both in solo and group exhibitions.</div>

<div class=text-justify>For his sculptures and installations he uses whatever is at hand, including trash on many occasions, and gives them a new meaning, a new aesthetic. Tires, foam rubber, desks, old bathroom furniture, benches, cans, cardboard boxes ... everything has a place in the creative universe of Vasmoulakis, everything can be more than it appears.</div>

<div class=text-justify>The funny thing is that his work giving new life to fences, walls and buildings, is much more careful, even looking like someone else's work, possibly because it is an expression intended by another audience, or perhaps because in this part of his work he has the possibility to explore other parts of his inventiveness and creativity.</div>

<div class=text-justify>His work is found throughout Greece, and it has a more playful, more cartoonish tone. His experimentation is still present, but in another way, here the mix of cartoon, spray paint, collage and the use of applications set the tone. The result judge for yourself, large-scale works with a well-defined aesthetic in the characters he uses, where, as in the rest of his work, things are always more than they appear.</div>
