It's all in there like a creeping, never ending nightmare. Knowledge as a threat, nothing being objective but the feelings, pre-eminence of identities to expertise in science, no less. Gradual - and perhaps rather rapid - slide into unreason.

Saad, sadly, seems not only eloquent, but also completely right in this description of what is happening in the world of science these days. And this is not the first time we are experiencing that. The same I think was happening in the late Roman Empire. We know what came next - the Dark Ages.
