My Post Election Reaction.

History has it that right from the military era to this democratic dispensation that #PMB is always associated with violence. This is the reason the former President in the person of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is still considered world wide as a true democrat, peace maker and one who had the interest of his people at heart over that of his political ambitions. In facts his administration conducted an election in 2015 which was widely accepted as the freest, fairest and most credible election ever conducted in the history of Nigeria. 

With the electoral malpractices situations around the country that had eyewitnesses exposing the failure of this administration to provide security for its citizen in other to exercise their civic rights and responsibilities. The turn out of voters yesterday was impressive owing to the fact that the enlightenment on #VoteBecauseYourVoteCounts was taking to all parts of the country. 

In my own polling unit (City Center 001) here in  Abuja, as at of 2015 we had less than a thousand registered voters in that unit. Before the voting process started, i was glad to hear from the APO1, that my unit had about 2000 eligible voters. Which then supports the narrative that a whole lot of Nigerians were really enlightened and were serious in participating in Electioneering process. Security was 100% at my own polling unit, so there was no case of violence there. 

But the fact that there was wide spread of violence in #Lagos, #Kogi, #Rivers, #AkwaIbom and some other part of Nigeria was disheartening to hear. Not less than 10 person were reported to have either sustained various degrees of injuries or were feared dead. The effect of this will tell on voters turn out in the Governorship, state assembly, local government and fct election, even the next coming election, as voters may likely not turn out to compare with  yesterday, for the fear of been innocently involved in any form of electoral violence. I won't be surprised if this affects the Governorship, Local Government and FCT election coming up on the 9th of March 2019.

The 2019 election conducted under the leadership of Prof. Mahmood Yakubu is the worst election ever conducted since the Democratic era in  Nigeria. The opposition strong hold had different problems ranging from disenfranchisement of voters from voters not being able to find their names on the register where they registered to the card readers failure to authenticate voters at places perceived to be the opposition strong hold. 

You will also agree with me that the North was very peaceful no single violence to the best of my knowledge was recorded  because that is the strong holds of the ruling party #APC. Although i will give kudos to the northerners who for the first time composed themselves during the process, to me it's a welcomed development. 

As we patiently await the results of yesterday's process, i will disagree with who ever is declared the winner, either APC or PDP because the process was not FREE, CREDIBLE neither was it FAIR in anyway.
