The Place of communion with God is very crucial, as a Christian the bible in the Old Testament tells of the Altar of God where sacrifice is to be laid for prayers, Thanksgiving, petition and atonement of sin.
The first time the word "Altar" is mentioned was in Genesis 8:20.
>**And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
Genesis:8:20**
This above is an example of an altar of Thanksgiving, at every point in time when a man has an encounter with God, he made an altar to commemorate his encounter, sometimes it's commanded by God. Therefore, the knowledge of an Altar been a place of communion with God is birthed.
The dictionary defines it as :
>**An altar is any structure upon which offerings such as sacrifices are made for religious purposes.**

We must know that there are physical and spiritual altar, as a Christian there is an altar we must never forget to visit in burning our incense of prayer to God everyday and that is our morning devotion, we must not leave this out of our life, our living centers on this.
We must know too that Christ has offered himself as a living sacrifice, once and for all for all sinners that the gate of heaven might be open for all who cares to enters in.
Today am thanking God for instituting the Altar, since He first commanded man in Genesis 35:1, a place where I can communicate with him in quietness, a place where the priest give auction from heaven to his people, **the connection point of God and man**, the Bible say we can now approach the throne of grace: Altar.
