The main topic of discussion in all areas of Mexico is the civil responsibilities of its people. Mexico's Constitution grants full civil rights and privileges to its citizens. Civil Responsibilities refers to the obligations of a Mexican citizen. There are many different categories within the civil responsibility structure of Mexico, which can be grouped into three general groups: General Responsibilities, Civil Rights, and Social Policy. Each of these broad categories are described below.
General Responsibilities is the most fundamental laws that a Mexican citizen has to understand and follow. There are many national and local laws on issues ranging from food and beverages to religion and education. Civil Rights is a few sentences in the original Constitution of Mexico. These words guarantee basic freedoms to all Mexican citizens including the freedom of speech and press, right to assemble, freedom of religion, and expression. Freedom of association is also stated in the constitution, which means that you can join any registered organization of your choice as long as it does not cause financial or other direct damage to others. There are no restrictions on the level of membership that you can have. Civil responsibilities in Mexico also include the following: filing a lawsuit if one is abused, protecting the environment, and handling complaints against the police or other officials.
Social Policy is the overall responsibility of the government in all areas of public policy. There are a number of organizations and institutions that deal with the economic, social, educational, healthcare, and family development. Many of these organizations work together to promote a common social agenda. Education, healthcare, and family development all fall under the social policy area of e civil responsibilities. Filing a complaint against the authorities is an essential step in standing up for your rights and freedoms.

Environmental policy is another important area that you must be aware of when taking on the civil duties of life. Environmental policies set down how the country will carry out its duties concerning the environment. The values that one nation should have regarding environmental policy are established by laws passed in the House and Senate, known as Environmental Acts. These acts can be found on the Intergovernmental Relations Commission website. When filing a complaint against the authorities, make sure you include all the necessary information regarding your complaint such as: names of witnesses, copies of reports, and any documents that support your allegations.
The last area of duties that you need to know about when taking on the civil responsibilities of life is conditional linkage. Conditional linkage simply means that the authorities cannot take any action against you without first proving that you have been subjected to some form of injustice, damage, loss, or other type of harm. This is an important part of our civil obligations; however, most of the time, the victims are given the chance to prove that their suffering has been caused by a third party.
