A quick glance around the Internet and you'll find hundreds upon hundreds of sites devoted to telling stories. And a lot of them are for children too, of course. ![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmX2uZWTURDMWvaLQ75mpPgKxBkZFJMyfE3t7M9rbpuv9u/image.png) [](https://static.onecms.io/wp-content/uploads/sites/38/2020/02/200212-im-a-mom-and-a-childrens-book-author-2000.jpg) Kids love making up stories and telling them in front of an audience. They love it. And it is quite likely that they would love it even more if they could actually see the characters they've made up. It's amazing just how much imaginative energy can be expended when you're playing a game of imagination with a friend or family member. As I've written before, one of the best ways to get kids interested in what you have to say is to use simple stories that don't take a lot of time. Simple stories make the task of learning something fun rather than a chore. But even when you get kids involved in story time, you'll need to give them some structure. And this is where storytelling comes in. Story telling allows kids to explore their imaginations. It makes them think about what their own character would do. It also allows them to imagine other people's characters. It is a form of imagination. And this is what we all want our kids to have. Once they have a little creative process under their belt, they're ready to start thinking about the rest of their lives. If you can help encourage this creative process, you'll see amazing improvements in their educational development. As you begin your efforts at helping your child develop this creative process, you'll notice that it starts right away. It doesn't take very long at all for most kids to become fascinated by the story they've been telling. Look for good books that encourage kids to engage in imaginative play with a variety of characters. That way, your kid will start developing these skills before they ever need them. There are many books out there that are aimed specifically at this process. One of the most popular books on this subject is "The Power of Attention: How to Make Your Kids Think," by Karen Baumann and Lisa Kornrich. You'll learn everything from how to inspire a child to how to create an imaginary world. You'll also discover why imagination is such an important part of a child's life. If you're not sure whether this book will help your child's creative process, I can recommend that you read it again with them. Once you do, you'll know whether this is a good choice for your child. https://i0.wp.com/yourparentingguru.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Very-Short-Stories-for-Kids-Short-Stories-Moral-Stories-Fairy-Tales-Stories-Moral-stories-for-kids-kids-moral-stories-children-stories-with-morals-moral-stories-for-children.jpg?resize=626%2C381&ssl=1 [](https://i0.wp.com/yourparentingguru.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Very-Short-Stories-for-Kids-Short-Stories-Moral-Stories-Fairy-Tales-Stories-Moral-stories-for-kids-kids-moral-stories-children-stories-with-morals-moral-stories-for-children.jpg?resize=626%2C381&ssl=1) The story begins with a mother and father in Hawaii who have two small children. The story is a fun and exciting tale about two little boys and their adventures in their backyard. The author takes the time to really show what children are capable of when they get really excited about something they can't see. The author explains that imagination and creativity are at the core of any child's growth. The Power of Attention: It's Story Time! takes your child's imagination to the next level and shows you why that is so important. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to give their child some great tools for growing. "The Power of Attention: It's Story Time" by Karen Baumann and Lisa Kornrich is a wonderful addition to any parent's library. It is written in a fun, engaging way. The author, Karen Baumann, provides plenty of good information about how imagination can help children develop. This book covers just about everything you could possibly want to know about your child's development. From the basics of learning to what kinds of things your child will be able to do. It is a perfect guide for parents on how to get your child interested in stories and creative process. "The Power of Attention: It's Story Time!" by Karen Baumann and Lisa Kornrich is a quick, easy read!
