That sucks! It's terrible to think that someone has so little regard for other people that they just took what wasn't theirs. Hopefully you're able to find it. Maybe there are some identifying marks on it so the police could prove it's yours and was stolen.

Bike stolen is so easy in our country. But it is difficult to believe, is it possible in your country? You can gift one to your wife. It makes her so happy.

Sad to hear the bad news. We often disappointed when we lose our favourite things like your wife beautiful bike. I also lost my bicycle when I read in class eight.

You might want to check with the security at the train station!

Maybe they have a policy of securing the bikes that are left there for a long period of time. I imagine the racks would be full of bikes that people abandoned if they didn't do some maintaince (i.e. removing bikes left there for a long time).

I have seen cars abandoned in the street so I imagine people would abandon bikes too. If one person abandoned 1 bike every year there would be 10 bikes stocked on the bike rack after 10 years. But I think it happens more often than that! @brian.rrr

Bolt cutters would do the trick easily. I mean S#!7 happens. Time for a new bike. 

Very sad to know this, the bike was so beautiful. Really it's very bad feelings when someone have lost their favourite things, I'm also lost my kids favourite buggy one year ago that was really so beautiful and my favourite too. You should also check eBay site, may be get it.

Ask for CCTV recordings if any and start a major police investigation.

It's not the 100 $ to care about, it's the love and affection of your wife for the bike :( I hope somehow i don't know you will find the bike or bike will be returned to you!

I hope you find your wife's bike , it is not a nice feeling when something is stolen from you , its a feeling being let down as well by people who would want to take something from you and your family

I understand perfectly the feeling of helplessness and anger that it feels to know you are robbed, in my country a lot happens and you can not leave anything unattended because they steal it. Do not feel bad, they are things that happen and you do not know if they stole it shortly after you left it.

I would have found that person and taken my bike back. Also have you checked eBay or any other selling websites because you could catch the perpetrator selling your bike.

It is a little frustrating to go through this type of situations one usually takes a certain affection for their things and when they are stolen it causes a bit of sadness although they are material they can recover but it is difficult

I hope you do not leave a bike all night long even though you have that possibility to do it in my country or go out with bicycles you can be robbed at any moment

Hello friend Brian, I feel sorry for the loss of Kristine's bicycle, and I understand it because women are fond of our objects in a sentimental way, but we have a saying in family, "that we can not cry over spilled milk" and in spite of be a very beautiful bicycle, purple is one of my favorite color, I know that you will award it with another bicycle, and then nothing the punishment of sleeping in the dog's house, it will rise soon, positive mind that another bicycle will come, and if It is a lesson learned. Yeah, I think you're wife is probably right about leaving the bike being the cause. Sorry to hear that! It's a shame we can't leave a locked bike even overnight some place.

Sorry to hear such story @brian.rrr it's not about the money but the usefulness and affection of your wife towards it even yourself, Its really sad, environment we living today if you forget the least or small things when you remember and went to check you won't find it again, "stolen" really sorry about that and perhaps to add that you should report to them at that train's station Security Camera might covered such scenes... If they will check for u, about the blame for causing the bike missing was not international we all liable to mistake/forget things... But you need be careful next time... U should probably check online selling and buying if you be Lucky. Really sorry about this.

Sorry that happened to you. Oh boy, I hate to say it dude but I think she is right about putting you in the doghouse. Forgetting for more than one night is pretty bad LOL.

That totally sucks!! Yeah, she I probably right, the overnight is likely when it was taken. It was an accident but I get that she might be frustrated. Our daughters bike was stolen right out of our yard once. She forgot to put it away and left it in the driveway. It was really far back in the driveway and the person would have had to come all the way to our back fence entrance to get it but if it was put away it would not have been taken. Was such a sad experience for her.

This is truly unfortunate, and in my opinion these kind of incidents happen and it hurts also because we increase connections with our daily using resources.

And most of the time when we stay busy or we spend our time outside, while managing some other work we can forget our belongings.

I wish and hope that soon it will going to return home because your family members have connection towards it, so if it will back then they will feel happy.
