I want to take some time out to explain this through, would have loved to make a video about this, but couldn't for now. But I sure will as soon as possible.
So Manny recording artists find it difficult to get the perfect recording while in the studio, of course some might be novice, but it's an error if the producer is also ignorant of it. It can make mixing of that particular track so difficult.
There are several ways an artist can pull out an awesome recording, depending on the kind of feel they want to get on the particular track. Be it warm kinda feel, or deep base kinda feel, or better still light, almost normal kinda feel. All of these have different ways with which they can be achieved giving the producer less work to do.
It's important the artist and also the producer know what exactly they want the particular track to sound like, that would give them an upper hand in achieving that course.
In the videos I would be making later on, I will take time to explain in detail how different recording style can be pulled out stress-free even with not too standard microphones. But for now I'll give some tips on how to quickly have a great recording, knowing what kind of style you want.
First of all, for every normal recording, make sure you are not too close to the microphone.
At least you should be two foot length away. (I mean your feet) hahaha
Don't get me wrong don't be too far from the mic except your want a hall/large space kind of recording.
The only reason you can go very close o the mic is if you want a warm, bassy kind of feel in your song. And by this you must not shout doing that, else, you get clips in your recording.
