Because of our various given traits and changing circumstances that influence how we prioritize morality, practicality, or pure selfishness along with all other factors, we don’t define or perceive reality nor our own actions accurately or consistently in accord with moral principles. 

These interrelated factors and conclusions arrived at, can also be influenced by propaganda such as when the establishment promotes war crimes while the public isn’t even aware the entire governing establishment which includes industry, politicians and government officials, along with the establishment’s propaganda media industry among others, are, at times, all profiting from death and destruction being imposed on innocent people and countries. 

Regardless of whether or not anyone believes supernatural good or evil forces exist, when a group of people are deceiving others to profit through mass murders and grand thefts of resources, it still fits the definition of evil as should numerous acts of willful destruction, though some acts of destruction are intended to destroy evil itself.
