If you have ever been to Thailand you know there is no shortage of experiences to be had but the one that really stuck was bungee jumping in Phuket.
My dad and me had been travelling all over Thailand having a good time doing something new everyday and one day riding around Phuket on a couple mopeds we discovered a bungee site so we went to see if it was open. Now at this point it was something I had thought about before but the thought of free falling towards a concrete floor was maybe a bit too much but the closer we got to the bungee site it was clear that the jump was over a lagoon which meant it had to be done.
After talking to the kiwi owner who was a top guy and offered a great deal with a free second jump it was on. I had to be weighed and was asked if I wanted to touch the water, to which I replied "are there alligators in the water? " .
Anyway after being reassured there was nothing that was going to eat me in the lagoon I had the bungee attached to my ankles and jumped into the crane elevator and started my journey to the top.

The ride up was quite pleasant and the view was great but it wasn't long before the reality of it set in and at 120 feet up even if you're not afraid of heights it's quite scary. I guess it goes against every survival instinct in your body and so the adrenaline set in and I was a shaking mess.
The guy filming me asked me to step towards the edge and try not to look down which was impossible! and I was holding on to the rails for a few minutes trying to get it together. After a few minutes the guy just said to me "look straight ahead open your arms and just lean forward on the count of three."

On the count of three is when I let go and leaned forward just pass the point of no return and that's when it felt like my heart and stomach was in my throat and with a long scream and a long fall i felt the tension of the bungee rope kick in and then hit the water.

Now I should say that the guy told me to close my eyes and hold my nose just before I hit the water but seeing as I was frozen in mid air not thinking about anything other than if i was going to survive, I swallowed a lot of water and was a soaking coughing mess bouncing up and down about 5 or 6 times , needless to say my dad thought it was hilarious.

After bouncing around for a while and then being lowered onto solid ground it all kind of soaked in and it was by far the best adrenaline rush I have ever had.

After a beer and a while to relax they asked me if I wanted my second jump to which I replied " yes but no need for a swim this time!" and so I went straight back up and jumped right off and it was great and definitely something you should try out if you ever visit Thailand.
Thailand is full of countless amazing experiences and should be at the top of your travel list , you will not regret it.
