# Some time ago, we visited Art gallery in central Zagreb called ‘Klovićevi dvori’.

**Right now they are showing period of Modernity in art and the relation Zagreb had with Vienna.**

The exhibition focuses on 1900s and Vienna Secession style. Notable artists on display are Klimt, Bukovac and Meštrović. Exhibits cover paintings, sculpture, architecture and house decoration.

They did not allow our cameras inside so I just sneaked one photo with a phone of Ilica, a very busy street in the centre. I liked how it looked 100 years from now.

The most viewed picture is this one by Klimt.

There is also a photo of Klimt’s interpretation of Philosophy, Medicine and Jurisprudence. Sadly, Nazis burnt it while retreating.

In general, we liked it alot and I was especially interested in architecture because it is something you can appreciate every day while walking around. I learned there is a relief at Ban Jelačić Square by the world famous artist Ivan Meštrović.

There is a guided tour on Sundays at 12 noon and 5PM. You will learn everything a layman would want to know in 45 minutes. Highly recommended and it is free.

Entrance is 40 kn (5.75$) but you can get it down to 30 (4.31$) if you are a student. Or just ask nicely, guys at the counter are VERY bored.
