It's known as 'The Big Book' and it sets out the blueprint for the 12-step program of recovery. It opens with a letter from Dr William D. Silkworth called in a chapter entitled The Doctor's Opinion. I like to direct newcomers to this part of the book as I feel that it explains very well just what it is that we alcoholics suffer from. Hey Cam, Thanks for the read out. Have you heard of This Naked Mind. I lean more into this way of breaking the cycle. I struggle with the message of weakness and give into a higher power of Alcoholics Anonymous . This Naked Mind way of tapping into the unconscious mind and reprogramming with practical truths really sits well with me. That being said… i really think that it doesn’t matter what road leads to an addiction free life, each person finding whatever road that is best for them is the key. I really like this ‘phenomenon of craving’. It really captures that moment of deciding to have a drink. You have a great reading voice. I really like listening to you. Miss you Cam. Hoping you and the Fam are doing well these strange days.
