<CENTER>**Hello, hello, to the whole steemit community, I stand before you to be part of this great platform that serves as support to show skills, skills that perhaps many did not develop or share.**


**My name is Carmen Reyes de Rodriguez (@carmentita) I am an enterprising Venezuelan, fighter, daughter of the Most High God I have a beautiful family, my husband (@ oscar20), my three children (@ carlis20, @ josue20 and @ gloriana071), my three grandchildren (Nicolás, Anthony, Adaia and another who is on the way with God's favor).**

**I am 44 years old, and since I was 12 I am passionate about cooking and especially pastry, I like to invent and try recipes and now that our country is living, because creativity has come to the surface.**

**What has most struck me about this platform is that the family has joined more, because while I was busy with anything, whether it was cooking or doing chores, I just listened: opened a contest of @opheliafu and saw them draw everyone and laugh at what they painted, I saw them rehearse to record songs and compete with @luzcypher, and what more laughter gave me was to love @sancho.panza jejejejejeje, I said they are crazy hahaha, but here I am part of them, and I ask God to put all good creativity in me and to help others. Hello carmentita! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:
1. **Keep your passwords safe:** Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
2. **Get Steem rewards:** When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
3. **Upvote wisely:** When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
4. **Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power:** Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
