Then walk back through the bush to seek out orchids - progess on mayfly orchid almost fully open.  Look forward to a few more - two spikes here  Tough photo challenge to get the full length of the sepals and stay focused on the labellum  Loved this purple mushroom behind - mushroom fans like it too.  Then walk along same side of creek to check maroonhoods. Still only one flower  But more buds showing on both sides of the track. A friend has cordoned off one side of the track with logs to add to my earlier defences  I added to the other side to protect the dual buds there.
