Bicycle Tour, Day 17

Ait guys, I'm in a shopping center in Kuopio and eating nachos and blue cheese. Why? Because a) I found some blue cheese on discount b) it's raining occasionally outside and c) I want to eat something else too than peanut butter. And I ain't gonna try cooking right after rain, because wet wood doesn't burn.

Who would've known that these include 1600 calories!? This is obviously good news, because I need my calories.

I feel I'm talking a lot about food. At least that's the impression I got while meeting @eveuncovered. Hadn't even realized that. Maybe I should write a "Hobo's guide for eating" - _dumbster dive, if that's not possible, eat peanut butter._
Yeah, cannot milk the system too much with that.

But I mean, food is almost half of the trip because I need to focus on feeding myself. _Eat, sleep, cycle. Repeat._ That's pretty much my life (until I get to my next destination) so it could be argued that, food is 1/3 of my life. But without food there's no life, so isn't it all about food then? Eh...

I wonder what's the best way of making your kid shut down. I'm wondering this because there's one family dining close up, and their kid started yelling. The dad just called his name in a commanding nature. Should you try reason or just command? What if the kid listens neither?

I'm actually pretty tired right now. First time that I actually feel exhausted in a way that I could actually just fall asleep right away if I wanted. Though it's only 6:30pm. I think I'll wait an hour or so when the last potential rains should have passed so I can find a spot to sleep for the night.

The scenery's quite epic here; lots of hills and lakes.

The pinnacle of the Eastern-Finland is in Koli which played a part inspiring nationalism in Finland.

This was a quick snap 2 years ago when I was in Koli, I call it "the epic man".

My end destination is actually in the same city where Koli locates, Lieksa, although the city itself is across the other side of Pielinen lake. And it ain't small one - 4th biggest one in Finland. Have to go around that.

Ok, I'll make my exit from the shopping center and find a place to sleep before it gets dark,

PS. There's actually Ikea here, but I don't think I will fulfill my crazy idea of sneaking there to sleep the night, some youtubers have done it through...

This is such an epic adventure!  It is probably feeling like a slog as you work through the miles and challenge yourself to exist on minimal expenditure.  Like with anything worthwhile, you just have to love the grind and know you are making most of your progress in life when you are out of your comfort zone.

Between @celestal @davedckeyyall @gaiama @slobberchops and the rest of the adventurers I have "met" on steemit, makes me feel so sheltered.  Inspires me to give'r!

Cycling is actually the easy part for me - I never get bored with it! I guess sometimes it just feels heavy to set up a camp and leave it right away tomorrow. Though getting up and rolling again in the morning is the best feeling ever. Though today felt different because I didn't cook anything with fire, just quickly set up my tarp a minute ago and bam - ready to sleep. Actually like the change of eating only food that doesn't require cooking.
