I couldn't resist doing few pull-ups and dips when encountering these bars along my way next to the Lake Pielinen and the fells in the distance.

This was on day 27 – the day I started my way back home.

It had been a while since I had worked my upper body, because the biking had taken most of my time, obviously. Pull-ups felt kinda heavy but still managed to do 11 reps (have been able to do 15). Though it's no wonder I didn't manage to do a peak performance here since the cycling surely drained some energy. Also, this was during the 36 hour fast before the [eating challenge](https://steemit.com/cyclefeed/@celestal/bicycle-tour-day-28-food-challenge-free-meal-or-failure).

We have these and monkey bars all over the place. No one uses them much, except kids. It's unfortunate. It actually would be nice if more people used the parts to work out a bit, rather than spending money going to the gym. Gyms are useful, but so are ***FREE*** parks everywhere, that people are afraid to even use, because they think it's weird for an adult to use the playground.

They have those bars here in cities a lot too – it was a pleasant surprise to encounter them on lay-by. I never was a gym guy for that exact reason that it costs and I don't have to feel obligated to go there so that my money wouldn't go to waste. Furthermore, the distance to the closest monkey bars is much less than to a gym for me.

Yeah, children just do their thing while we adults avoid the feeling of embarrassment even with the cost of our health.
