රහතන් වහන්සේලා වැඩ සිටි තැන | Hundreds of Arahats stayed here for thousands of years ago

මට එතැනට යන්නට සිදුවූයේ  අහම්බයකිනි. කහටගස්දිගිලියෙන් එහා  කුඩා ගමක ජල පෙරනයක  වූ අලුත්වැඩියාවක් සඳහා ගිය මට අසල ඇති පන්සලක භූගත නල ලිදක් සඳහා සිදු කළ ඉල්ලීමක් පරික්ෂා කරන්නට සිදුවිය .

එය මහා ගල් කන්ද රජමහා විහාරයයි. පුද්ගලික ආයතනයක් විසින් විශාල මුදලක් අයකර නල ළිඳක් විද තිබුණද එයින් අවශ්‍ය ජල ප්‍රමාණය ලබාගත නොහැකිව තිබිණි .

මහ ගල් කන්දක මුදුනේ එම රජ මහා විහාරය පිහිටා තිබුණි. ගල් ගොඩැලි මැදින් ඉහලට යන ගමන දුෂ්කරය.  
විදුලි පහසුකම් නොමැත. දැනට විදුලිය සැපයීමේ කටයුතු සැකසෙමින් තිබිණි. ගල මුදුනට කවර ජල පහසුකම් ද?

මඟ පෙන්වන්නෙකු සමඟ ඉහලට ඇවිද ගියෙමි. ඊයේ වල් අලින් පැමිණි සලකුණු ඉතිරිව තිබිණි.

ඈත අතීතයේ රහතන් වහන්සේලා භාවනායෝගිව වැඩ සිටියේ යැයි පැවසෙන කළු ගලින් නිමවුනු භාවනා කුටි බොහෝය. සමහර ඒවා ඉතා විශාලය.

කන්දේ ඉහළ ම තැනක මෙවැනි ගල් කුටීරය කින් සාදාගත්  ස්ථානයක භාවනානුයෝගී හිමිනමක් වසර 35ක් තිස්සේ වැඩ හිඳිති . විදුලිය සපයා ගන්නේ හිරු එළියෙන් ක්‍රියාකරන කුඩා විදුලි කෝෂයකිනි. දින කීපයක් තිස්සේ  එය ද ක්‍රියා විරහිතය. උන්වහන්සේලා වැසි ජලය එකතු වෙන කුඩා ගල් වලවල්වලින් ජලය පරිභෝජනය කරති. වතුර මල් සහිත නාන කාමර නැත .

**Villagers had provided basic living facilities. Those are the rock holes which collected rain water to full fill daily needs**

බුදු දහමට මම බොහෝ ගරු කරමි. බොහෝ බුද්ධ පුත්‍රයන්ගේ  ක්‍රියාකලාපයන් ගැන ද මට බොහෝ  අත්දැකීම් තිබේ. මෙවැනි භාවනායෝගී හාමුදුරුවරු ඉතා දුප්පත් දුෂ්කර ගමක දායකයන්ගෙන් ලැබෙන දිළිඳු දාන වේලකින් යන්තමින් තම කුස පුරවා ගනිති.  දිවා කාලයේ ගල්තලාවේ ගිනියම ද, රාත්‍රී කාලයේ අධික ශීතලයද උන්වහන්සේලා උපේක්ෂාසහගතව 
විඳ දරා ගනිති .

**Heat is unbearable in day time. Wild elephants all around during night hours.
No electricity. They have to walk hundred meters of distance for toilet facilities.**
