Hello steemians, accept warm greetings from this end of the globe 🌍. It’s another exciting day of steaming. I hope each and everyone is doing well at our various locations. Today was a busy day for as I had a workshop to attend. It’s been a while my office organized an event. I got up from bed at 5:00am, did my morning meditation 🧘‍♂️. Later on I entered the power house (kitchen) to prepare breakfast for the family. 

I fried potatoes chips with omelet for breakfast. I served my husband and daughter with it. While they were eating, I had to make phusphatine with milk for my son. Later, I warmed water, and bath my son and my daughter. By  8:45am, I had to take my shower. I could not take breakfast because I was late for the workshop. My colleague called me to find out why I delayed. 

By 10:30, I arrived the venue for the workshop. The first person I met outside the venue was the Executive Director. I greeted her and went inside the hall. The workshop had started, so I just sneaked in and look for a seat. There was a group work going on about the different types of gender based violence and the causes.

After the group work, one of the speakers enlightened us about the different types of Gender Based Violence (GBV). She equally talked about how to manage cases of GBV, and the principles of managing GBV. 

By 11:00am, the next speaker talked about Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and the complexities of Sexual Reproductive Health within societies. She made the workshop fun and more interactive as compared to the first speaker. 

By 12:00 mid day, the 3rd speaker talked about the SASA (Start Awareness Support Action)methodology they adopted because men were resistant that we are only talking about women and girl’s rights.  This methodology does not blame anyone as a perpetrator of violence but rather play with someone’s conscience. Telling you exactly what you have done and allow your conscience to judge your actions.

The workshop was over after the 3rd speaker, and it was time for a group photo outside the hall. We had to lead the crowd outside and arrange the backdrop in order to take good group pictures for our reports and the media.

After the group pictures, we went back in the hall for lunch. The table was set already with vegetable, fried rice, plantain and tomatoes sauce, white yam and melon 🍉. I’m a lover of vegetable, so I dished some vegetables with white yam. Equally took a slice of melon. After eating, our Executive Director called us and gave us some cash.

I returned home at about 3:40pm, went to a store nearby to send money via mobile money to a friend. Came back home, made food for my husband and daughter. My husband had already feed the baby.  Later on, I was so tired but my son needed to play with me. I spent some quality time with him, and later felt asleep. I only woke up at 1:00am.
