yes every beginning has some criticisers and one should not lose hope as i believe that you didn't lose hope and courage and bold enough to reach this level. I agree! Respect is something that wouldn't hurt if it were to be increased a little in the community. We'd only be benefitting ourselves and each other! Thank you @chbartist for continuing, despite the bad attention you've recieved these weeks.

This is fantastic! Negativity doesn't help anyone, including the person that is being negative. And sharing positivity requires respect from the whole community. you hit the nail on the head when you said “If you have nothing good to say, to contribute, best keep your thoughts to yourself”. It's something most of us were taught when we were small kids but there are plenty of people forget how important this simple instruction can be. 

Being disrespectful doesn't help in any situation and just further spreads negativity! With what is going on in the world today we could all respect each other just a bit more :)

Most of the time, they’re hating on themselves and taking it out on you. Calling them on it might make them realize there’s a human on the receiving end of harsh words.

This is a very important topic.
Respect they say is reciprocal.
If we all can learn to respect the opinions, views, ideas and intentions of others, the world will surely be a better place to be.

@chbartist I think you hit the nail on the head when you said, you check some of there pages and they bring nothing to the table.  In my years on social media in many different platforms one thing I've always noticed.  

The one's with the biggest mouths aren't saying much because they are talking with their mouths full.

I left a couple of comments on your blog.  I even flagged a couple of your posts.  I gave my reasons.  For one, I feel you're misleading new members because they see a high dollar value beside a post and think that money is there because the post is popular.  You don't tell them you paid for the slot.  When I pointed out what you were doing, a few people did comment to point out that they did in fact feel misled by your approach.  

You talk a lot about success, but you come here and purchase your success.  What that's doing is bumping everyone else down, below you.  You're interfering with their success.  If you were getting here to the trending page because your posts are popular with the people, I wouldn't say any of this because it wouldn't be true.

I certainly don't mean any disrespect.  I'm trying to help you, others are trying to help you.  They're asking you now to just slow down on purchasing these slots on the trending page.  This isn't your show.  It's a community.  You're hogging the spotlight.  I realize I won't be anywhere near this trending page any time soon so it's not like you're taking my light away from me, but I can put myself in the shoes of others and see how your approach is stepping on a few toes.

Another tag you used here is 'respect'.  This approach of yours is causing you to lose respect.  Not with everyone of course.  Some people feel your approach to this whole thing has been disrespectful.

Back to this:

I've done well here and I'm one of the rare few who can actually put a genuine smile on someone's face when I feel like doing so.
