Newcastle United look like they will secure their safety for another season and their cash-rich owners are ready to fund a charge up the table next season. They've already bought Joe Willock from us, who seems to be doing okay not great, and they've been keen on two other Arsenal players in Ainsley Maitland Niles and Leno

Newcastle's current goalkeeping choices are not up to scratch and Eddie Howe wants to sign a goalkeeper that is a trusted pair of hands and an experienced campaigner. Leno knows he is no longer #1 with Arsenal shot-stopper losing his spot to Ramsdale, making Bernd Leno a key target for Newcaslte. 

The Gunners are likely to allow the German international to leave this summer as he has 1 year left on his contract, letting him go on a free would be a waste and we could do with a 10 - 15 million and a reduced wage bill.

If we can collect that fee, it would do well to be used to sign Gabriel Jesus, since we already have a new goalie coming in and a youth goalie on the books, I think we're well-stocked short of major injuries.
