#Ulog 19 - I Tried To Poison Myself

Yes, these crypto prices have had me so depressed, I no longer feel I can go on. How much a beating can one mans blockfolio actually take before his spirit breaks completely?

70% loss? 80% loss? I don't know guess we can only go as low as zero right? No lower than rock bottom!

## Need a release

To ease the pain I decided to end it all, and poison myself, well technically I am, it's just really really slowly and maybe shortens my lifespan just a little!

So I decided to give a new beer a shot, called Durban Poison. The beer is 4% alcohol and is marketed as a cannabis beer but doesn't contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive component of weed, but uses hemp oils to give the beer its distinctive taste.

## Durban Poison 

In October of this year, South Africa got its first taste of [weed beer](https://www.businessinsider.co.za/south-africas-first-dagga-infused-beer-durban-poison-r18-tops-at-spar-2018-10)

The beer is named after [Durban Poison](https://www.leafly.com/sativa/durban-poison), a popular weed strain found in the city of Durban, in South Africa.

It drinks more like a cider than an actual larger, and you get the hemp undertones ever so slightly, it's not overly apparent to the palate. You have to concentrate a bit before you start to get those leafy taste on your tongue. 

All in all its not a bad beer, but it is not something id be rushing out to buy regularly.

## First but won't be the last

There has been a global trend for a weed-infused beer with both Heineken and Molson Coors recently announcing that they’ll be releasing dagga-infused beer soon.

Lol we should actually start a steem counciling fund, any psychologists willing to do a live stream for all of us and we pay them in our now worthless steem! Its at that point now where I have no choice but to hodl selling at these prices and selling at 0 would be the same thing in my book

Yes I'm sure it will recover eventually and we should maximise on this window of opportunity to earn and buy cheap steem while we can. I really hope you become a minnow very soon :)

I've also tried the paste, not to eat but to rub on my body for sore muscles :)

Yeah sure I've tried plenty of herb infused drinks, I just make them myself though lol... Simplest one is obtain some quality hash, oil, rosin etc and heat it up in some lipid laden heavy cream, the thc binds to the fats and then u can add this to your morning coffee for a highly high day and probably night depending on the dose n ur tolerance etc.  

The hemp hype stuff is aight I spose, but at least ima want some cbd in that shit, feel me?!?  

BTW is CBD legal in S. Africa?  Y'all have some form of decriminalized cannabis right?

LOL well i'll have to follow you for some recipes won't I? i tried that once and made a milkshake it was such a long process so I wasn't really motivated to do it again. 

Yeah its somewhat "decriminalized" its a very small subset of people it applies to though. So you have to grow it yourself and for personal consumption cannot be given, sold etc. 

Where did you happen to get your hands on the DP strain?

I grew herb in Northern California and other places for over 15 years, I've grown or tried every lineage of land race and hybridized Indica, sativa and ruderalis that's been bred since the early 90s til now. Not being a bragger just was my job, I eventually got into cross pollination of my own favourite phenotypes, I think my best was what I named BurLa,  Burmese Kush x LA Confidential.. I'm new around the blockchain but am loving the freedom to speak out about what I spent my entire adult life doing for once. Those days are over for now as I find myself in a land that cannabis carries capital punishment for if you're my nationality..i could quite literally be put death over anything more than a, spliff and even that could cause years of incarceration followed by deportation as I'm not a rich man. I lived a crazy life but my focus was never on saving or even being a responsible adult 😂

BTW the simmering of concentrate into a fat shouldn't take more than 10 minutes on the stove..Id make a batch then freeze it so my happy coffee was always a quick brew away. Speaking of its night coffee time now..cheers

Nothing an open window can't solve, if you're concerned about family or someone discovering you perhaps add some cloves and cardamom etc and basically make your own chai tea, I don't think anyone get pick out the subtle smell of some hash in the mix. A little goes a looong way, as you're not expelling most of the thc from your lungs and every bit of it will slowly absorb from your gut to your blood to your brain. So start with a small crumble and play with the dosage..
