Born and raised in Iowa and spending my life as a landlubber, I was amazed and fascinated by the life of folks in a seaport.  The beauty was incredible to me as well.  I spent a month in the summer of 1988 on Cape Cod painting every day.  Everywhere I looked, I could see something I wanted to paint!
