Willian and Pedro Exit Certain? – Should Chelsea Let Them Leave?

According to latest reports as usual from a few sources, it is said that the Exit of Willian and Pedro away from Chelsea is most likely certain and both players will be leaving the club by the end of the season.

As we already know, both Willian and Pedro have been loyal servants of the club for a long time now. However, age isn’t on their side anymore and as usual, the Chelsea recent policy doesn’t give players above 30s more than a 2-year contract. Willian have been demanding that Chelsea should make it a 3-year contract so he can probably end his career at the club, but it looks as if Chelsea arent buying into that and are willing to let the player go at the end of the season, to a club where he can be offered longer contracts.

Pedro and Willian have been a subject of discussion in the Chelsea fanbase as they have been subject of comparison concerning who is better between the two…

Some section of the Chelsea fans say Willian is better than Pedro while some say Pedro is better… Till now, the debate on who is the better player between the two still go on. Willian is more of a winger/midfielder while Pedro is more of a Winger/striker. When it comes to having a player who can contribute in midfield and also perfect for transitioning the ball from midfield to attack, then Willian is the guy to call for the job. However, if you want a player to contribute in the attacking positions and guarantee high conversion rate in terms of converting chances into goals, then Pedro is the guy to call upon.

While it is looking more likely that both Willian and Pedro will be leaving this summer, some section of the Chelsea fans will be sad to see them leave as both players have been pretty good for Chelsea when they are on form. With the acquisition of Ziyech and also talks going on concerning new signings, it is understandable why Chelsea are willing to let them leave, that way, the younger players like Hudson-Odoi and Pulisic can have more playing time. Where Willian and Pedro will be heading to is still yet to be known, only time will tell.
