Self Esteem Vs Self Concept - How to Raise Your Self Esteem
Many people argue that a person with low self-esteem is just that - not very self-confident people have poor self-esteem. However, there is an ongoing debate between those who think that self-esteem should be paramount to self-confidence, those who believe that the two are not mutually exclusive, and those who believe that both are equally important.

Self-esteem is defined as how you feel about yourself. It is the way you perceive yourself, the way you interpret your thoughts and feelings. This is often influenced by the media, parents and society in general.

For most people the way they perceive themselves is the way they will see themselves for the rest of their lives. If you're unhappy with your life and lack self-confidence, it could mean that you lack self-esteem.

Self-esteem has been shown to improve confidence, improve physical and mental health, and reduce stress and anxiety. When you have a higher level of self-esteem, you tend to take risks, like making more money, taking risks in social situations, and getting more out of life.

There is no such thing as an easy way to raise your self-esteem. Achieving this level of self-esteem requires effort, commitment and time.

However, if you feel good about who you are then your self-concept will boost, and this will lead to a boost in your self-esteem. If your self-concept is low then your self-esteem will be lower. The best way to overcome this is to practice the principles of improving self-esteem every day by using affirmations and positive statements.

You can't increase your self-esteem all at once so don't get discouraged when you start to see a difference. As you get closer to your goal of feeling better about yourself the improvements will be noticeable.

One of the biggest causes of low self-esteem is the idea that you have a certain definition of yourself. This can be influenced by a variety of factors but if you have the self-confidence to do some simple things such as getting dressed up, go out for the weekend and spend time with friends then you can begin to create new memories and build new self-concepts.

One of the easiest ways to begin building a new self-concept is to learn what your goals are and the obstacles that will come your way to reaching them. Once you know these, you need to learn how to change your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes. Once you're able to change your negative thinking and behaviors you'll feel much better about yourself. This will lead to a rise in your self-esteem.

You may feel bad about yourself and even feel unattractive because you haven't achieved so many great things yet but that's all part of growing up. The key to getting through all the hurdles in life is to keep going no matter what.

Great things happen to everyone every now and then. They just take time and focus on the positive things and you'll eventually accomplish those things. Your mind and body need time to adjust so it can handle these great things.

As you begin your journey to raising your self-esteem, remember that you should never compare yourself to anyone else and that being yourself is a very important part of your journey. Everyone has to start somewhere and the way you approach life is not necessarily the same as someone else.

Feel proud of who you are, and you'll feel that much better about yourself. Don't feel bad or inadequate about your shortcomings because it is normal.

The most important part of having a great self-esteem is accepting the things that happen in your life. There are going to be times when you are going to experience challenges and you have to accept those challenges and move on.

Remember that in life bad days can be good days and the same is true of good days. You should expect to have good days as well as bad days and when you experience challenges.
