I believe a VPS is no longer suitable for a running a node so I have decided to upgrade to steem version 0.16.1 on a new dedicated server, here are the specs:
CPU 2 vCore
RAM: 8 GB + 2 GB Swap
Storage: 120 GB SSD
Bandwidth:10000 GB
Location: New York – USA
The current RAM and CPU demand of synching and replaying a node, together with low Steem Prices, is making it increasingly difficult for backup witnesses like me to keep our instances running. However, the learning experience I have gather from being a witness is priceless, I also believe the price of Steem will recover and make it easier for us to keep our servers up.
