Isn't it amazing that God's promise is so much more greater than your past , greater than your failures, greater than your mistakes , greater than your character flaws , greater than all the obstacles that you go through in your life. We tend to let all these negativity define us. We tend to let those failures overtake our emotions in life. We tend to let all those bring us down.
> " Just because the past didn't turn out like what you wanted it to , doesn't mean that your future can't be better than you ever imagined "
We have to allow God to use those things to refine us and the best way is to put our whole trust in Jesus, not in the world, not in other man but only Jesus. Sometimes God brings us to a place where it seems all quiet or there are just no answer from Him. This is when we need to trust in the Lord.
> "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. ( Proverbs 3:5-6 )
People may have spoken negative things over you but the good news is, people don't determine your future, God does. Always remember that. Rest Assured.
Be like Joseph & Mary , how they travel for many days with baby Jesus in Mary's womb. Just imagine Mary travelling with baby Jesus inside her womb, the journey would have taken about three days and they might well have arrived in the evening and it was about time that Mary had to give birth. I am sure they both were extremely exhausted but yet they persevere on and stay on course because they clearly know that it's not the end of the story.
So no matter how your year has been whether it be good or bad , maybe you've lost your job, you've lost a loved on, people may have hurt you etc etc. Before the year end maybe some of you are rushing some last minute work or maybe some reflecting on how your year has been. Stay on course. His blood always speaks a better word.
> " Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. " ( Hebrews 12:1-3 )
