My Experience Buying Weed In Mexico

If you’ve read any of my previous posts you probably know how I feel about “legalization” and government approved cannabis. I very strongly advocate for #growyourown or #knowyourfarmer as the safest way to source your cannabis, and do not trust government labs and regulators to provide me with safe, quality cannabis. 

Now I follow my own advice, and have for many years, so I don’t as a rule, buy weed. Although cannabis is becoming less illegal in some areas (and only within certain regulatory frameworks, even in those “legal” areas), you’re still far from being able to source your own in a way that you feel good about and travel freely with it. 

I’m currently traveling in Mexico and finally decided to buy some weed. It took 10 days to actually get my hands on it and give it a try. What a waste of money.  I didn’t expect it to look good (it didn’t), I didn’t expect it to taste good (it didn’t), but I had hoped I could smoke it and get stoned and relax. Wrong.  I got a little stoned, but what I really got was the worst headache I’ve had in years. It lasted for over 12 hours. Now I have a bag of weed that I’m afraid to smoke. I guess it’s time to quit smoking again for a while. 

One positive thing is the weed was full of seeds. I’ve got a bunch in a damp paper towel. It’s going to be a long wait.

That does suck. I tried to buy weed in Mexico once, and got ripped off. Like dude took my money and ran lol. You also think buying weed would be easier in mex. I bet getting meth or black is way easier! Smh

I had to let the carnies get it for me.
They got it in every town that we went to.
I only got to buy it once, and then that spot got shut down afterwards.

From what I know it just gets lumped in with your other rewards. They said they are working on separating it so we can see what we’re earning. Also I heard it’s like a lottery where every 10 hours 10 miners get randomly chosen to get the 20% of rewards payout. Not sure how I feel about that.

I feel your pain here in Malaysia my friend. Same experience this past week, mildew flavor and a headache 🤕.. I’ve just accepted I don’t smoke bud anymore, I had a good run of 20 years so I’m alright with the shift in perspective as a non stoner.

Thanks for reading and commenting on my post. While I think your idea of our content outliving anything we now know is very interesting, I think the earth experiences patterns of such drastic change that the chance of any of this data surviving into perpetuity is very slim.

Spores have carried what can be argued is an intelligence throughout the cosmos. The Earth and everything in it and on it are not intrinsically tied to earth. Awareness isn't necessarily only a product of our electric water bag meat suits and memory or the transfer of information or communication can be potentially encoded into everything.
