I own a small poultry on a small piece of land I intend to build a residential real estate one of these days. I mention this for a reason that will become apparent as we go along.

Yesterday, a friend of mine and I decided to go see a movie, "Girls Trip" which, by the way was fun. We went to the mall for this purpose. We both had a busy morning and afternoon but we were determined to go so we decided we would work around our schedules and find a way. As a result we did not confirm the time of the movie. We arrived early and decided we would sit in the mall and catch up.

We sat at the food court and talked. One thing led to the other, we decided to eat pizza which is not my snack of choice but she wanted it so we ordered one. 


As it turned out, the price was 5000 Naira. I did not know this because the only other time I ate pizza, it was my sister that bought it. We paid and sat down to eat the pizza but I kept wondering what it was about it that made it so expensive. To put it in perspective, one would have to sell 150 eggs to buy one pizza. It didn't make any sense so I thought I would find the value when I eat it afterall, the taste of the pudding, they say, is in the eating. I was disappointed. 

Most of my life, I have always been able to tell the condiments used in making most things I have eaten. From the taste of the pizza, apart from one indistinct ingredient which I suspected was cheese, I could tell right away all the other ingredients. All of a sudden, I couldn't wait to make my own pizza. 

We saw the movie and afterwards I bought some of the things I needed. Among them was fresh tomatoes, sweet pepper, hot pepper, onions, thyme, coriander, cumin, garlic and other condiments. On my way home I called my poultry attendant to process one chicken for me. I could not rest until I finished preparing the dough and the pizza topping. 

When it was ready I put it in the oven and baked. I was assured that I hot it right when I served my brothers and they ate it up. Of course I later tasted it and found it was just like the one I ate at the mall.

So, Next time you want to eat pizza, you may want to try out one of the numerous recipes you can find on the Internet. If you are anything like me, you just might enjoy making your own pizza even more than eating it.
