Reserve Bank of India Considering to Introduce its Own Cryptocurrency Similar to Bitcoin, May Name it Lakshmi

Though not finalised yet, India plans to launch its own digital currency.

Whenever the final decision would be taken, the cryptocurrency is likely to fall under the guidelines of the RBI and government might make some amendment in the Existing regulations and Act to accomodate the emerging economy of bitcoins. 
If the report quoted by a leading news paper is to be believed then this will be a time-consuming process.

The Newspaper also quoted a source who said that the government might name its cryptocurrency as "Lakshmi".
