 I love doing anything active, whether it be biking, walking, running, hiking, yoga, sports, etc. Last night, some guys from my hometown got together and played some 5v5 pickup soccer at a local HS. We have a group chat set up where the main guy texts the group to see who can play. The guy who organizes the games is the HS soccer coach for the school where we play. We usually get anywhere from 8-14 guys (and gals) depending on the night- schedules permitting. Last night was the first time I was able to play in about 2 months. I have a short break from classes, so I’ll try to play on Tuesdays and Thursdays until summer classes begin. I use the time as a nice opportunity for a cardio workout and working on my fundamentals. I used to play soccer back in day, but quit in 8th grade to focus on golf. I sort of regret quitting because I easily could have played D-1 soccer, but I developed a relationship with golf that will last a lifetime. I kept up my soccer play a little bit in college, playing co-ed intramural and pickup games at the turf fields, so I never really lost my skills. Obviously my footwork wasn’t as good as it once was, and my shot and pass accuracy depleted, but the skills, quickness, and agility are all natural to me. ## Who else plays soccer anymore ??
