I went for a night drive to get my mind right
All this fire in my heart and I’m in fight or flight
Transformation breaking the boughs of my tree
Inner peace and Self Love is where I strive to be
Used to reach for alcohol in an act of desperation
Now I turn to self care and liberation
Even a drive can feel like freedom
Flying of the wings of hopes and dreams to be won
I dive deep and radiate forgiveness 
For true compassion is something we all deserve to witness
Love to all and my wish is for peace in all of our hearts
The journey to awakening is ours to grasp and embark

I was having a very challenging day and decided to go on a night drive with the baby. He is teething and was fighting his sleep so he was super happy for the drive and the chance to fall asleep to the music :)

I went to garden of the Gods, one of my favorite places with many memories for me. I could feel the emotions surface the whole way there. 

I pulled in the pull off area right by the back side of the kissing camels. I rolled down the windows and the smell of wet pine needles and leaves filled the car. The fresh mountain air smell hit my nose and I was instantly feeling relaxed. I took about 3 minutes to look around, observe and tune into the smell and the sensation of the night. 

The smell of the earth instantly made me ground into Gaia. I could feel my energy coming back to myself from all the places I had felt it had been pulled.

I then did a mediation I had never done. I pictured myself screaming all the negative things that were said to me and that I say to myself. It was like a word vomit onto the canyon. This was all silent in my head and yet I could feel the release very intensely. I could even feel the energy echo against the rocks. I took about 2 more minutes of breathing and observing myself and smelling the smells. Then I got a very clear message it was time to go.

As I drove home I felt many waves of peace. I felt more sadness surface and yet there was an inner calm I felt by just allowing my emotions what they were.

Really looking forward to the group meditation tomorrow with @naturalmedicine and @bewithbreath.

Also did yoga the last two days and had a very deep meditation in shavasana.  I am challenging myself to see how many days I can go to yoga in the next 30 days.
