 ## DO NOT LOVE THE WORLD The Scriptures warn us that "the kingdom of God is not food or drink, but justice." He urges us to seek first the kingdom of God and his justice, and assures us that by doing this, all these things will be added to us. He exhorts us not to be careful, not to worry about food or clothing, because if God takes care of the flowers of the field and the birds of the sky, will not he take care of us even more, his people? But judging by our anxieties it would seem that they receive care, but we do not! Here is the point that needs special emphasis. This condition is abnormal. Undue attention to food and drink, in either extreme of subsistence or luxury, which characterizes so many believers these days, is far from normal; It is supernatural. Well, we are not dealing here with a mere matter of food and drink; we are faced with demons. Satan conceived and now controls the worldly order and is willing to use demonic power through worldly things to draw us into the world. The present state of affairs can not be explained in any other way. Oh, may the children of God awaken to this fact! In times past the saints of God faced all sorts of difficulties, and yet in the midst of oppression they raised their eyes and trusted God. In the pressures of today, however, they are so confused and disturbed that it seems impossible to trust in Him. It is essential that we understand  The same is true of marriage. We have never encountered so many problems in this sphere as today. Confusion reigns as young people break with the old traditions but lack the direction of others to replace them. This fact can not be explained naturally but in a supernatural way. Marrying and giving in marriage is something healthy and normal at any time, but today there is an element that is being introduced in these things that is not natural. The same happens with planting and building, with purchase and sale. All these things can be perfectly legitimate and beneficial, but today the power behind them presses on men until they are disturbed and lose their balance. The malignant force (foot potentializes the worldly system has precipitated a condition where we see two extremes: the one of complete inability to achieve enough to survive and the other of extraordinary opportunities to accumulate wealth.) On the one hand many believers are in financial difficulties unprecedented, because many others face opportunities, also unprecedented, to enrich themselves, both conditions are normal.  If we listened to conversations in homes today we would hear phrases like these: "Last week I bought such a thing and such a thing and I saved so much." "Luckily I bought it a year ago, otherwise I would have lost a lot." "If you want to sell, sell now while the place is favorable." Have we noticed how people run here and there, speedily making transactions? Doctors buy stocks, cloth manufacturers sell paper, men and women who had never touched these things before, have been enveloped by the current of speculation. They are trapped in a commercial whirlwind that spins them around vertiginously. Do we not understand that this state of affairs is not natural? Do we not see that here is a power that is captivating men? People do not act sensibly; They are beside themselves The urge to buy and sell is not just a matter of making money - or losing it. It truly consists of coming into contact with a satanic system. We are living in recent times, at a time when a special power has been released that drives men, whether they want to or not.  So the core of the matter is not sinfulness but worldliness. Who would dare to say that we do wrong in eating and drinking? Who would disapprove of marrying and giving in marriage? Who would question our right to buy and sell? These things are not bad in themselves; the evil lies in the spiritual power that is behind them and that through it presses inexorably upon us. Oh, that we should awaken to the fact that, while these things are common and so simple, they are used! by Satan to trap the Jiijos of God in the great network of his worldly system! "See also for yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with gluttony and drunkenness and cares of this life, and suddenly come upon you that day" (Luke 21:34).
