I have set myself the task everyday of writing up a post covering every episode of the X files.

Ok so without further ado.

# Baltimore Maryland.
A business man walks out of a hotel and is walking along a footpath, he walks to his car and something in the gutter appears to be watching him, you cannot see what but greenish yellow eyes looking directly at him. Next the man gets out of the elevator onto an office floor. when the elevator opens again we see the lift shaft and cables are creaking.
The man walks into his office sits down and makes a phone call he leaves a message for his wife then grabs a mug to go and get a drink. Meanwhile a screw in a small air conditioning duct starts to unscrew itself from the inside of the office and a hand appears.
The man walks back to the office and we see the light turn off as he approaches, the door slams behind him and the man yells as he is being attacked there is a loud bank and the office door breaks. We go back into the office where there is blood on the carpet and desk, we see the man has been attacked and the air conditioning vent closes and the screws are retightened.

Scully is having lunch with an associate FBI agent Colton, who tells her he may need her help. Baltimore PD have a serial killer three murders had happened in the past six weeks. the only pattern is there is no point of entry. Scully suggests suicides but when shown the photo's all the of the victims had their livers ripped out with out any cutting tools.
Scully agrees this could be an X File, he asks her to go over the case files and come to the crime scene, but Colton tells Dana to tell Mulder this is his case and he really needs to solve it as he will be up for promotion and their may be a promotion for her.
Dana goes to meet Mulder at the crime scene and briefly explains when Colton walks into the office, he asks Mulder for his opinion and makes a sarcastic comment on *little green men,* Mulder replies equally as sarcastically. When Colton is talking to Dana about his theory Mulder notices a hair and looks up to the air conditioning vent. Mulder starts to dust the vent for prints when Colton asks what he is doing and that the size of the vent would make it impossible for entry, and that it is screwed into place. But Mulder does indeed find an elongated print on the side of the vent.

Later he shows the print he taken from the office against another print on another x file in total ten murders in the Baltimore area, with no points of entry. The prints were discovered at five of the ten crime scenes, the previous prints filed were from the 1960's and the 1930's, so Mulder believes that there is five murders every 30 years and there would be two more murders to go this year.
Scully asks if it was copy cat murders, but Mulder reminds her that fingerprints are unique and therefore must be done from the same person. Scully tells Mulder they don't want him on the case but the very first case was an X File in 1903 he argues they had it first. He proposes a seperate investigation to theirs Scully agrees.
Scully begins to write her report that they are looking for a male suspect, 25 to 35 years of age and above average intelligence, she proposes that the killer has superior knowledge of inner buildings and duct works. Scully's theory is that the liver has regenerative properties cleansing the blood, and the killer believes he can use the liver to regenerate himself in the process she believes he is suffering from obsessive complusive behaviour.
In a meeting she suggests that he killer may revisit some of the old sites, and it may be a good idea to revisit some of them. The other agents agree on a stake out that night looking for possible suspects and invite Scully along with them.
** Crime Scene Office Building**
Scully is parked in the underground car park of the office building within radio contact with the other agents. She hears a banging noise and heads over to investigate she removes her firearm, and finds out that it is Mulder.
Mulder explains that the killer wont come back to the same place because he had the thrill of the chase. Scully is annoyed at Mulder because he is interrupting her stakeout, Mulder tells her that he is going home.
As he is leaving he also hears a banging sound and goes to a locked caged room to investigate, he can hear clattering and can see something crawling through the air duct, he runs and shouts to Scully to call for backup. Scully runs over to the locked room and calls out she is a Federal Agent the banging continues. She orders what is inside to come out of the vent, and the bottom of the vent opens and a small man crawls out an turns with his hands up. The man is arrested by the other agents.

Later at the FBI we findout the man is Called Eugine Victor Tooms, he is being put through a lie detector test. He is remarkebly calm when answering the questions put to him. He is asked if he was at the crime scene the night of the murder which he replies he was not. At the end of the test he has passed with no errors at all.
Eugine Tooms works for animal control and maintenance of the building said they were complaining of a bad smell, which they found was a dead cat so they had sent for animal control to take care of it. Scully said it does still not make sense that he was crawling up an air duct on his own without alerting security, but as far as the other agents are concerned he passed the test and he is not who they are looking for.
Mulder said the Tooms is infact the guy and he lied on two questions, his cardiographic response was very high. One of the agents is not happy at some of the questions they had asked Tooms such as was he over 100 years old, and a previous murder in 1933 and storms out the office.
Colton asks Scully if she is coming but she thanks him for the opportunity and states she is assigned to the X Files.
Scully after explains to Mulder that clearly he is not liked and that he is being made a mockery of. Mulder still thinks Tooms is the guy they need to pursue. Mulder does state however if Scully wants to continue working with the other team he will not hold it against her. Scully is beginning to know Mulder and thinks he may know more and wants to continue working on the case with him.
They run Toom's prints through the computer and run it by the print they found in the office there is not a match but when he stretches the image and narrows it the match is 100% positive. Scully is very suprised at he result and asks how that could be, Mulder is not sure but tells Scully that Tooms is now released.

A car pulls into a driveway and parks in front of a double garage. Tooms is watching in the darkness you can only see his eyes. A man gets out of the car and walks into the house. Tooms silently moves through the garden stalking the man he looks though the living room window and sees the man coming and retreats back. Tooms then scales a brick wall gripping on to the concrete inbetween the bricks and climbs on to the roof, when he reaches the chinmey it is two narrow for him to get down. This is where we see Tooms ability to manipulate his body and he stretches his arm all the way down the chimney then he dislocates a shoulder and slides right down it.

The man wanders from the kitchen after getting himself a drink into the living room he hears a noise but dismisses it and heads for the fireplace, he begins to light the fire but the fire goes out when he turns round and Tooms is there and makes a grab for him.
The next day Colton and his team are at the house investigating the murder, when Mulder and Scully walk in. Colton says that he only wants qualified personell in there, Mulder makes a sarcastic remark and Scully explains they have authorisation to be there, and warns that a report on obstructing an investigation will not go down well.
Mulder walks over to the fireplace to start investigating while Scully explains the victim is a Thomas Werner. Mulder sees another print on the fireplace explaining again that it was Tooms and it looks like he has taken something from the Mantle.
Back at headquarters Mulder goes through microfiche and finds a county cenus in 1903 for Eugine Victor Tooms who was at the time a dog catcher, it also has and address on it. Scully comes in and advises that Tooms apartment was checked and it is a cover, no one has ever lived in it, and he has not shown up for work since he was arrested. Mulder goes on to explain that he found him in the census records, the first murder that occurred was apartment 203 66 Exeter Street, which was the guy above him. Scully advises it might be his great grandfather, but when Mulder questions the prints Scully says it could be to do with genetics and the behaviour could be genetic. Mulder dismisses it and says that Eugene must be tracked as there are now four murders and if they don't find him after the fifth he will be missing for another 30 years.
They start to look through birth, death and marriage records and census's on microfiche to see if there is an ancestory, but the search comes up fruitless. But Scully did find the address of the investigating officer of the Powhatan Milll Murders in 1933.
Mulder and Scully go to visit the detective who was dealing with the case he says he has been waiting 25 years for agents to visit him as he stopped investigating in 1968. The detective said that most murders he found he could deal with and go home without thinking of them. But the murders at Powhatan Mill shook him to the core, he said he could describe it like an act in a prisoner of war camp in 1945. The detective shows the Agents the case he had gathered and knew the murders in 63 were from the same person as in 33. He also said that family members had reported small things going missing in each case.
Mulder asks if he has ever heard of Tooms and the agent shows him a picture of Tooms in 1963 and he does not look any different to the present. He also shows them a picture of the apartment building on exeter street, which the apartment was still standing.
The agents go to the apartment building in a rough looking part of town the building is since derelict and empty they find the old apartment where one of the murders occurred but there is nothing in the room. Mulder moves a mattress from the wall which reveals a hole in the wall, the agents go in to investigate further what is in there. They go down a ladder which leads to an old coal cellar, when they are walking they come across many belongings on a table. They look over and see an artificial wall has been built with rags and newspapers, it is a nest. Scully said the smell coming off it is the smell of bile. Mulder thinks it is where Tooms hibernates for 30 years at a time between the killings. Mulders theory is Tooms is a Genetic Mutation who is able to hibernate for 30 years and the livers may provide sustenance for that period of time. Scully thinks that his theory is a joke and does not believe it.
They agree that a surveillance team is needed and Scully goes to leave but as its dark she thinks she is caught on something and when she releases her self little does she know it was Tooms above her and now has her necklace.
In the morning Mulder is in the car staking out the old building when two other agents join him and he explains who they are looking for.
Back at Headquarter Colton storms in to see Scully unhappy that Mulder has assigned two of his men to keep watch on the building. He is not happy that Mulder is on the case, Scully reiterates that they have been assigned an investigation also. Colton tells her to forget the stakeout the men have been taken off the job, when Scully goes to call Mulder Colton said that he wants to do it. Scully has final words with him and leaves she heads home later that evening when she is going to the building Tooms is watching her.
Mulder later that night goes back to the building and sees that there are no officers there, he runs inside the building to see if Tooms has gone or if he is there.
Scully leaves Mulder a message explaining how Colton acted and gets of the phone she starts to run a bath. When she walks away Tooms is at the bathroom window reaching up to open it. Back at the building Mulder is back at Toom's lair when he spots Scully's necklace hanging amongst the artifacts he has collected.
Back in the bathroom Scully is trying to get the top off a bubble bath when a substance falls on her hand and she looks up at the vent, she can see it oozing out. Knowing that its Tooms she runs to get her weapon. Mulder is trying to call Scully but the lines have been cut, and he is driving to Scullys now.
Scully grabs her firearm and switches on the lights carefully going round her apartment, she sees a vent in the living room and tries to be cautious of it. She turns her back but Tooms lashes out from the vent and grabs her ankle this makes Scully lose her footing and she falls to the floor.

Scully manages to break loose and heads to the bathroom but Tooms comes racing out of the vent and gets on top of her. She tries to struggle to get him free but he is too strong, he is just about to remove her liver when Mulder bursts in, and Tooms heads to the window to escape.

Scully tries to stop him but he pushes her out of the way, Mulder manages to get a handcuff around one of his hands, but Tooms pushes him back then Scully manages to get the other cuff on the bath tap. Tooms goes from grunting and growling to becoming very calm again.
Then we turn to the original Detective on the case who spots a news story about Tooms in the paper saying he was caught for the mass killings.
Finally we turn to Tooms who is now locked in a Cell he appears to be building a new nest inside of it out of news paper, Scully said that genetic tests have been ordered and preliminary tests show abnormalities in his muscular and skeletal systems.
And his metabolic rate is declining, Mulder comes to the realisation that most homes with up to date security devices would not be enough to stop someone like Tooms.
As they leave a medic puts through food for Tooms through a hatch. Afterwards Tooms is sitting in the room on his own staring at the hatch through the door but will he escape??
