<p>Me refiero a las cochinillas <img src="https://i.imgur.com/hMtC1As.png"> (Dactylopius coccus), que en algunas partes del mundo se les conoce también como: <em><strong>“bichos bola o chanchitos de tierra”</strong></em>, esta especie de insecto son frecuentes en los jardines dado que les encanta la humedad y se alimentan de materia orgánica. Son de color gris, su tamaño son de 3 milímetros pero varía según el tiempo que tengan <img src="https://i.imgur.com/hMtC1As.png"> de vida aunque las hembras son el doble de grandes que los machos. De igual manera se caracterizan por tener siete pares de patas y dos antenas que no son muy visibles, en realidad son crustáceos familia de los cangrejos por lo que les gusta la humedad y al igual que ellos respiran por branquias.</p>
<p>Es por esta razón que las cochinillas <img src="https://i.imgur.com/hMtC1As.png"> tiene una gran importancia en la transformación de materia orgánica, tanto así que tienen gran similitud a las lombrices. Sin embargo son más exigentes para su condición de vida ya que solamente las consigues en lugares húmedos y oscuros. Por otra parte en su alimentación prefieren restos vegetales, pero también <img src="https://i.imgur.com/hMtC1As.png"> consumen restos de carne en descomposición.</p>

<p>La cochinilla <img src="https://i.imgur.com/hMtC1As.png"> tiene un apareamiento muy curioso, no obstante este acto sexual ocurre en horas nocturnas por lo que es difícil observar su acción, así pues que la reproducción de la cochinilla ocurre cuando el macho sube sobre la hembra y este mismo acaricia sus patas delanteras, después <img src="https://i.imgur.com/hMtC1As.png"> se arquea y es donde introduce el esperma en una de las dos aberturas genitales, luego repite la operación en la otra abertura, por otra parte en el abdomen es el órgano donde la hembra guarda los huevos fecundados (algo parecido al saco de los canguros) pero la cantidad <img src="https://i.imgur.com/hMtC1As.png"> de crías varían entre 5 a 80 por tres veces al año, dando así una subsistencia a la especie.</p>

<p><center><h3>USO DE LA COCHINILLA EN LA AGRICULTURA <img src="https://i.imgur.com/lUblM9b.png"></h3></center></p>

<p>El uso de este insecto <img src="https://i.imgur.com/hMtC1As.png"> se le conoce dos utilidades, una en la elaboración de colorante natural y otra en la descomposición de materia orgánica para su uso en plantas o cultivos. Así pues siendo de gran importancia y ayuda para el desarrollo ecológico del planeta evitando utilización de agroquímicos o fertilizantes que dañan el medio ambiente. En tal sentido la cochinilla en la fabricación de abonos orgánicos <img src="https://i.imgur.com/hMtC1As.png"> a base de materias verdes (hojas, conchas, excremento, entre otras) aceleran el proceso de descomposición permitiendo así un abono no solo de calidad sino también el tiempo de su elaboración seria un ahorro de 20%, dejando a este insecto satisfecho y a nuestros cultivos nutridos por la eficacia del producto.</p>

  <li><strong>Las cochinillas no orinan:</strong> Su concha porosa les permite emanar las escorias a modo de vapor de amoníaco en lugar de orina líquida. Producen así más residuos de nitrógeno que cualquier otro animal en relación a su tamaño.</li>

  <li><strong>Usan el ano para beber:</strong> Unos pequeños tubos bifurcados llamador urópodos absorben el agua. A la hora de comer, nada como la vegetación en descomposición. Pero no la encuentran, no hay problema: también se pueden alimentar de sus propias heces.</li>
