The Walmart stock chart looks interesting, but let’s address those naked zombies first. An article caught my attention today while surfing the financial landscape. It was about a person who decided to stroll through his local Walmart store butt naked. It dawned on me that this is not the first time such a bizarre human escapade crossed my screen regarding “Walmart people.” Googling confirmed my suspicion. I mean, why not Big Lots, BJ’s, Home Depot, Kmart, Lowes, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Sears, Target, **[Mall of America](https://www.mallofamerica.com/)**, or the zillions of neighborhood delis across the nation. I did not want to spend a complete afternoon reading about these quacks, and I am certain that a more thorough investigation would produce a lot more evidence. A quick look-see produced the following results from the last 7 years:
> **Man posts nude pics of himself at Walmart in Toledo, OH**_… “Authorities say Kunkel printed 58 copies of a picture of himself wearing nylons, high heels and a pink T-shirt that barely covered his navel. Additionally, police say his genitals were exposed. Investigators believe Kunkel put the photos on at least six cars at Walmart and dropped off three more in store’s cosmetics department. When the officer approached the vehicle from the driver’s side he found that the driver was naked. A few of the above stories are related to drug use, but a common denominator of external origin remains elusive. This brings me to an esoteric piece of information I read over [**20 years ago**](https://rense.com/ufo/terminalmd.htm):

Why is Walmart a disproportionate target? I honestly have no idea and do not plan to spend any more of my valuable time left on this Earth figuring it out because it will likely not be politically correct and in general, it is freaking meowt anyway. You never know what you are going to see when taking a trip to Walmart. What does technical analysis say about the Walmart stock chart?

Since Jan. 2018, the price has collapsed 26% from a $109.97 high to a low of $81.75 in May. The 23.6% **[Fibonacci](https://youtu.be/keLN89CWZ-A)** retracement level at $88.41 was an area of resistance before reaching the low and was an area of resistance going back to early 2015. Price action put in a solid outside reversal candle to the upside this week and closed at $87.70 above all the [**Exponential Moving Averages**](https://www.investopedia.com/terms/e/ema.asp) (EMAs). The second of two trendlines appears to be in the rearview mirror, with solid price performance since mid-June. In the studies department, [**Momentum**](https://www.investopedia.com/articles/technical/081501.asp)(MOM), **[CCI](https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/commoditychannelindex.asp)**, and** [StochRSI](https://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/stochrsi.asp)** are clearly on the upswing. The [**DMI-ADX**](https://www.adxcellence.com/) is just beginning to cross over to the positive, and volumes are relatively healthy. If the overhead 23.6% Fibonacci level is decisively breached and news flow remains positive, a near-term rally could take hold. I suggest remaining neutral on this chart until the $88.50 area is taken out on decisive daily volume before considering any upside positions.
