This is an Ethereum blockchain based startup that seeks to provide cryptocurrency and more specifically Ethereum based token users, a smooth decentralized platform through which they will be to trade their tokens without the need to resort to centralized exchanges. With a vast number of Ethereum based cryptocurrencies and tokens in circulation, a lot of holders of these new releases often grapple with the lack of adoption by major exchanges, which means their money is held indefinitely until the new cryptocurrency gains traction in the industry. This cul-de-sac character of many cryptocurrency investments often discourages some investors as they don’t want their liquid funds trapped for too long in one altcoin.

What AirSwap aims is to achieve to provide every Ethereum based token holder with an instant and decentralized exchange market place where the user can create a Smart Contract putting their tokens up for sale, where this Smart Contract can easily be executed by another token holder who is willing to swap theirs for the one on offer. AirSwap is a great invention that will give the Ethereum markets further fluidity and enable newer coins gain easy entry into markets. Offering exchangeability for any and all kinds of Ethereum-based tokens is indeed a service that many startups have been praying for, and AirSwap seems to have finally come with the solution to their pains.

**Practical Uses**
The proliferation of ICOs this year although largely beneficial for startups and investors came with its own problems, as frictions began to appear in the trade of tokens and currencies. The markets were largely fragmented as most exchanges take their time to gauge a cryptocurrency before adopting it for trading. To put things into perspective, it was only recently one of the major industry facilitators the blockchain wallet company adapted Bitcoin Cash after carefully assessing the new cryptocurrency for months. For newer crypto coins, taking off is a huge nightmare that many never get to pass through.  This real world problem is what AirSwap has been designed to solve.

Another issue that just recently came to the notice of the cryptocurrency industry is the present sense of uncertainty after the Chinese Government shut down all its mainland centralized exchanges. This showed the industry as a whole that it must indeed be ready for every eventuality and make sure crackdowns such as this don’t take it unawares in other major market. As far as the Ethereum based token and coins are concerned AirSwap seems to be the perfect preparation for any such eventuality as a decentralized exchange or swap platform cannot be cracked down on by any government.
